Grace'Difu

Born to rule, the last & the first to be born.

The golden royal was killed for their blood their coat & the wisdom they given around the world. Because of this the coat died out many years ago or so they though one day a mother was ready to deliver her cubs ready to finally see the creations she has made. She had 2 beautiful cubs one who died short after death & then it was the other cub that changed everything.

Her mother looks down at her living cub & could not believe her eyes. As she first spotted her she choose to name her Grace after the grandmother that sadly passed away a year ago. But after a closer look she realize the coat it’s almost made her faint how is this possible she said to herself. Known by all lions a legend a myth & now has once again become reality the golden coat was real.

The cubs life will forever be in danger & as newborn the mother needed to kept her child into the dark to be given a chance to live another day. The mother waited until dark & approached the pride leader. Chocked by the news the mother given & together they agreed to find a safe place til she’s old enough to care for herself. The pride leader & the mother found a spot futher away from the pride a cave full with vines abandon for many years were the little royal can grow strong & one day be shown to the world.

At the beginning it was easy to keep her a secret but the older she gets the more she wanted to explore & meet lions in her own age. She wasn’t old enough to fight for herself & the mother needed to find a idea before she start sneaking out in the nights. The next day the mother tells grace that she’s going on a hunt & will be back in a few hours. As she was hunted she saw what she needed to see. A mud pile beside a waterhole getting refilled everyday. This was great news & not far from the cave. She founds a pray & kills it. She goes back to the cave with the prey in her mouth seeing a very bored young teen happy to see her mother. Grace walked towards her & starts eating.

As grace was eating she explained that she can have the opportunity to go outside if she rolls around in the mud pile everyday she had found earlier the today. Grace gladly agree & from that day on she went to the mud pile turning her fur to brown ready for the world. Grace wasn’t only brave she was strong. When she continue to grow the mother realizes her daughter was way a head from the other cubs in the pride, when the others started learning about hunting was grace already hunting by her own.


As she reached closer to adulthood the mother knew she needed to explain it all. When the time came she took grace back to the cave explaining the life she has to live & how the pride will protect her. Chocking & hurt she listen to the story & the reasons why she haven’t been able to be herself. She ask mom..can I ever show how I really looks like? Yes you can my love but once you reveal it you can’t take it back & that day you will be a target or you choose to hide your true self but your life will be the same as everyone else.

Grace though about it & choose to keep doing with the mud but added less & less letting a little of her coat be visible, all they could see was yellow ish colors something common between lions. And she meets with the rest of the pride begin one of them in less then a few hours, making her fit right in.
