The day that King Kordon's first daughter was born, he set out on a hunt to bring back many treasures to gift her. Instead of the treasures he sought to find, though, he instead found a pair of starving cubs, lost from their mother. With them he waited, and when at last their mother returned with hardly enough to feed them both, let alone herself as well, a keen idea was made and the king offered to take one of the two cubs himself, lightening the burden the mother held to care for them. He promised to keep the cub fed and welcome it into his domain as both his own and as a companion and guard for his beloved daughter, naming it in the process 'Servaas.'
