Starting Lore:
The dawn painted the savanna in hues of orange and purple as Arabella, Severus Snape's daughter, stood poised at the edge of the pride's territory. Her silver, almost white, coat shimmered in the early light, a stark contrast to her father's dark mane. Her yellow eyes, usually sparkling with mischief, held a hint of melancholy, but also a fierce determination. Perched on her shoulder, a barn owl chick, its downy feathers ruffled by the morning breeze, hooted softly.
Severus Snape stood a short distance away, his usual impassive expression etched deeper than usual. He didn't offer words of encouragement or farewell; that wasn't his way. His silence, however, spoke volumes. It was a silent acknowledgment of his daughter's independent spirit, a grudging respect for her decision.
Arabella didn't seek his approval; she didn't need it. She had made her choice, a decision born not of rebellion, but of an innate wanderlust, a desire to explore the world beyond the confines of her father's pride. Her mischievous nature, often bordering on the evil, was a reflection of her independent spirit, her refusal to conform to expectations.
Arabella: (Voice low, but firm) "I'm leaving, Father." It wasn't a question; it was a statement of fact.
Snape nodded curtly, his gaze unwavering.
Snape: "The savanna is vast. Remember your training." His words were a warning, a reminder of the dangers that lay ahead, but also a subtle acknowledgement of her capabilities.
Arabella smiled, a flash of mischief in her eyes. She adjusted her owl chick, its soft hooting a counterpoint to the silence between them.
Arabella: "I will. And I'll send word when I find something...interesting." A hint of her mischievous nature peeked through, a promise of future adventures, of discoveries both thrilling and potentially dangerous.
She turned and walked away, her silver coat disappearing into the tall grasses, the owl chick a small, fluttering shadow at her side. Snape watched her go, his expression unreadable, but a flicker of something akin to pride—a rare emotion for him—glinted in his yellow eyes. His daughter's departure wasn't a loss; it was a testament to her strength, her independence, and the legacy of cunning and resilience he had instilled in her. The silence that followed her departure was heavy with unspoken emotions, but it was also a silent blessing, a farewell devoid of sentimentality, but rich in unspoken understanding.
