Biography
Since the passing of Dafina, Kweupe and Upenzi have taken on the duties of advisor to King Mkodi. Kweupe's mother, Tifu, was one of the original lionesses to join the pride and she shares her mother's loyalty to the old king.

Like Dafina, she is very level-headed and cool in a crisis. She seems a little wary of Mkodi's chosen heir, Korofi, especially now that in his old age he finally has some heirs by blood. The young cubs, Mahaba and Upendo, are the grandchildren of Dafina. Kweupe will die before she will see Korofi harm them.

As for her own family, Kweupe has two daughters. Dohani, a fairly quiet lioness, stayed with her birth pride and frequently hunts with her mother. Zuri, however, chose a new pride and Kweupe has heard rumors of a granddaughter of her own.

Though she has a sister, Kilima, and a brother, formerly Changawe but now simply Chang, they have both moved on and she does not hear from them much.

"You find Kweupe carefully watching the ducks in the water. You ask her what she's doing. She tells you that she hunts the best if she knows the behavior of her prey. Smart...but couldn't she take a break? It's been hours!"
