Ruko took her under her wing and taught her how to hunt, and she considered Ruko to be her second mother. When it came time for her to get her pride name Ruko was the one who gave it to her: Kubwa meaning "Greatest". It seemed that after Kubwa got her pride name a certain carefree lion took interest in her. From the looks of it Makali might have some competition.
