Biography
~~Obviously made up stories ;)~~

5/7: Aged 1 year, 2 months old.
My brother, Alarik, and myself, walk aimlessly around the shrublands. Its dry, and unwelcoming, but we have no where else to go. We were greeted by hyenas, in not a friendly fashion. My brother, and I, are almost identical twins, his opacitys are a bit higher than mine, but still. This day, was as normal as our others, we walked and talked, hours on end even, we could never get bored of each other. Even as cubs, we were with each other every step of the way, my mother claimed we have an unseparable bond, and, believe it or not, I believe her. "Pearl? Do you wanna hunt?" I pondered, we had both not eaten properly in a long time, we had slowly lost weight, but it wasnt too much trouble yet. "Yeah, I think we should, its been a while." My brother let out a hefty laugh. "4 days I believe. We ate a half eaten, half rotten Dik Dik carcass, and I can smell somehting fresh and uneaten." We tracked the enticing smell of fresh meat, it led us to a small group of hyenas. Great. As usual, Alarik tried it the easy way. "C'mon fellas, let a nice girl grab a bite." The hyena snarled towards us, but mostly him. "Mm, I think no." The hyena let out a low growl, and before I could blink, Alarik was in the middle of a braul with the 3 hyenas. I couldnt just watch, so I took on the female who was biting at my brothers back leg. I latched onto the back of her neck, easily pulling her away. She retaliated and turned to snap at me, but she wasnt fast enough, I had already bit into the side of her head, a loud pop came echoing from my mouth and her head. The female began yelping, and was not long gone.Alarik took care of the pther two, one hyena was dead while the other ran after the female. "Are you okay?" My brother worried too much, and didnt like it when I got involved. "Yes of course I am, I can take care of myself." I looked him over and could see a few wounds on his flanks. The red liqud oozed from his pink fur. "I know you can, but I promised mother I'd take care of you after she was gone." I winced. Our mother died of a poachers trap, Alarik and I were only 11 months old. Alarik and I had been playing out of mothers sight, and she came looking for us, and wandered into a trap, barb wire was wrapped around her front left paw, and with that, some more wire had made it around her chest, which was soon tanged in her short chest hair. 'Darlings, you cant stay here, go back to the pride, they'll help you grow up.' She had said. We didnt leave her side until 3 hours later, when dogs and poachers were coming to check their traps, our mother told us to run as fast as we could back to the pride, so we did, but, when we arrived at the pride and told our king, who wasnt our father, that our mother had died. He was sad, but not so much. 'Thats sad news, your mother was a wonderful lioness to this pride, but since shes gone, I cant have you here. You have no blood in this pride, no relation.' We didnt undersand, but we soon did after he took a swipe at my brother in an attempt to kill him. Other lionesses in the pride tried to protect us, so we fled. Every since that day its juat been Alarik and I. Thats how we like it, just us, always. "Pearl, lets get some rest, the stars are beckening us to sleep, so lets." He smiled, but it was a tired smile, not a full one. "Okay." I returned his smile, and we both fell off to sleep.

6/7: Aged 1 year, 3 months.
We woke early, as we usually do. Alarik ate more of the flesh, and picked most of it off the bone. It was the best meal we'd had in months. "C'mon, we cant stay, anything might find us here. For all we know, were on someones territory." I nodded in agreement, and we began to walk on. Alarik and I spoke about what our life would be like when were 2 years old. We both agreed that we wouldnt leave each other, if himself or I, were offered a place in a pride, it was either neither of us, or both of us. Our conversation was interupted by a near by roar. It didnt sound like a king, but either way, it was danger. "Pearl, run. Run for those shrubs over there, stay low, and listen in, just dont leap out and be the hero unless you have too!" I did as he said and rushed over to the shrubs and shrunk down into them. Not even 10 minutes later, a lion approached Alarik. "G'day son, what are you doing in these parts? You look a bit fancy for the shrublands." Alarik snickered. "Ahh, just sight seeing." I wanted to peer over to this male, to see who or what he was like. "Youre a bit young to be sight seeing arent ya? You barely 2 years old." This led my brohter to snicker again. "How old do you think i am? Honestly." I could hear the males paws scraping on the dry ground. "Mm, maybe a few months over 2." Alarik got that alot, well really, we both did. "Well, good guess, I an exiled from my pride, just on my rounds. You know, wandering the plains in order to find a mighty enough king to take me in." The male took a little while to respond. "Fair enough, but stay away from the dry savannah, the meanest kings live there. Large prides, but not many females. A few for hunting and maybe extra for baby sittin, but other than that, the rest of the pride is made of sub males, sons of the king, heirs." Alarik weighed on this.. I could feel him growing weary of this male. "Well thanks for that. I'll keep that in mind. Better be on my way." I could hear Alarik coming towards me, slowly, and then, a rush of paws and growling. I heard someone, either Alarik or the male, hit the ground. There was roaring, mumbling and growling. But I stayed low, and took a peak at what was happening. The male, a cocoa scrawny thing, was toppled on my brother, biting down on his throat, but closer to hsi chest. I quickly shot back down, knowing Alarik would definitely win this. The growling and mumbling soon went quiet, and even though I knew the fight was over, there was still a chance Alarik hadnt won. "Pearl? Pear-" I jumped up and looked over to Alarik who was colapsed on the floor, unconcious. I looked over him, he had a few gashes on his face, but also on his pelt, those were the deep ones. I looked over to the cocoa male, who was dead. He had small paws, but long claws. I grabbed Alariks neck and pulled him over to the shrubs where I was hidden just briefly before. I was too deep in my thoughts to realise how tired I had been..

7/7: Aged 1 year, 4 months.
I dont even remember falling asleep? I looked around, picking up the pieces. Alarik was in a fight.. Alarik! I turned to find him, still unconcious. This made me concerned. I began to think of something our mother had told us, tha there was a healer monkey, in every area. But how the heck was I going to get this monkey, without leaving Alarik defenseless. After thinking for a fair while, I decided to put my scent right past Alarik, so if anyone came across him, all they would be able to sense, would be me. As soon as I was finished, I began on my way looking for this monkey.. 40 minutes later, I came across a small, natual looking pride. The king introduced himself to me. "Hello sir." I bowed, like any respectable lady would. "Hello miss, how can I help you?" I didnt want to sugar coat it or nothing, I just wanted ot get straight to the point. "Well, I'm looking for a monkey, a healer?" The kings eyes light up, I had a slight feeling that he could help me. "Oh yes, the monkey. I can get him to your aid.. For a price." Ugh. Of course. "Oh, really? Um. What would that be?" The male looked me up and down, obvisouly taking his sweet time. "100 silver beetles." He smiled, but not a kind smile I was hoping for, it was a sad, angry smile. "I can do that.. But I dont have it with me right now. Can we make a deal?" The king nodded. So I went on. "Okay, how about, you ge the monkey, and I'll take him to where I need him, and then I'll return with the 100 silver beetles, and if I dont return, or give you the money you need, I will pledge my allegiance to you." I swallowed hard, having no intention of doing any such thing. "Agreed." The king trotted off and soon returned with a wise and old looking baboon. "Miss, I hear you're in need of my aid?" I nodded. "Yes, I will take you to where I need you." He followed me all the way to my brother. "This is my brother, he is in need of your healing." The monkey looked him over, and nodded a few times and mumbled a few things. "Give him these herbs to eat, and then these herbs to put on his wounds." "Thank you! Thank you so much!" The monkey nodded. "He will awake soon, 10 minutes at the most." I pondered. I didnt want to leave Alarik, but I still owed the king 100 silver beetles. "Excuse me, but, I owe the king 100 silver beetles for your service, and Idont want t leave my brother." I grabbed another 100 silver beetles from my brothers goatskin pouch and passed the total of 200 silver beetles to the monkey. "You may have 100 silver beetles, and the king, if you may, can you give him the other 100 silver beetles?" The monkey took a moment to answer. "Yes, of course. Thank you." He smiled and walked off in another direction.
As the monkey said, a little while later, Alarik woke up, confused and bewildered. "Pearl? What happened? Where.. Where are we?" He was looking frantically around, and he then looked e right int he eyes, waiting for me to answer. I was just happy he was okay. I ran up to him and ust snuggled up to him. "Pearl? Are you okay?" I just nodded, not wanting to talk, Alarik understood that, and we dozed off under the horizon of the sun.

8/7: 1 years, 5 months
"So, I killed that guy, and I passed out?" I nodded. "And a monkey came and saved me?" I nodded again. He just laughed. "Thank you Pearl, you're the best sister." I just smiled at him, his face mirroring mine. "You have to put those herbs on your wounds, and then eat the others when you're in pain." He nodded, checked his wounds for a quick minute and we continued on our way.
We had been walking for 4 hours or so, when we began to feel hungry again. Alarik sorted out our hunting plan, and soon enough, we had a gazelle carcass before us. We both had our share, but left nothing for the hyenas or any other animals.
A few hours had quickly passed, our paws never ached, no matter how long we used them, they were all used out, no pain inflicted to them. "Pearl, do you smell that?" I quicly took in the scents of my surroundings. We were in new territory. A silhouette of a male came into few, a few metres away from us. "Get behind me." Alariks voice was hard. The male eventually made it to us. He was a prune, with both fiery and maroon markings. "What're you doing on my fathers lands?" He got right to the point, great. "Just passing through. No intentions." The male looked right at me, and into my eyes. Alarik quickly moved into the males view, so he could no longer see my face. "C'mon Pearl." I walked closely behind my brother, making sure to not look back, but I couldnt help it. I turned back, and he was looking directly at me, I smiled, and to my surprise, he smiled back.

9/7: 1 years, 6 months
Alarik and I didnt sleep much, but we made it all the way to the jungles. "I feel... Eeery in here Rik." I had shivers up and down my spine, something wasnt right. "I feel it too.." He turned back and looked at me, and in that moment, a bull elephant came out of the vines and bushed, and was charging right towards us. Before I could act, Alarik had pushed me out of the way and took the full impact of the elepahnt. I screamed. "Alarik!! Alarik! Wake up!!" I kept yelling, but he didnt move, or flinch. He was gone. I had no one. It was just him and me, but now, it was just, me.

13/7: 1 year, 10 months.
For the last 4 months, I'd been hardly anywhere. I got the hell out of the jungles, and back to where we were before. The watering hole where Alarik and I slept the night before he died.
