He became self absorbed and only spent time with his mother. When Bluey rose to the throne in place of Reicka's father, he was pissed off but took his role as the submale and only a "potential heir". Then on a few of his patrols he noticed things changing inside him. Bluey had taken him on patrol too and seeing the older lions way of caring for the world, he found himself replicating it. Until he found an abandoned primal cub and adopted it as his own. When Bluey saw the cub he was shocked but at seeing how Reicka had changed from evil to more caring. He realised maybe the submale never really was evil. Maybe he had always just been stoic.
