Biography
- CASPIAN - “Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.” - LORE - Caspian and his brother, Capucine, were born to a pair of maneaters in the arid lands of the Nama Karoo. When the two were adolescents, a particularly rough dry season began and they were separated from their mother during a wildfire. Not knowing where to go, Caspian led them West based on the tales of the endless waters he had heard from a wandering tsavo male. After weeks of dragging his brother along and surviving off of the bare, drought-ridden land, the pair found their safe haven: the fynbos off of the South African West coast. Making a home out of the coastline and neighboring fynbos mountains, the brothers managed to recover from their travels and form a small pride from the other scattered maneater descendants Capucine would find on his travels out of the coast past the flowering fields. Though Caspian isn't very happy to see Capucine wander off, his brother usually makes up for it by bringing back a lioness or a gift he bought from a "scalper," as Caspian refers to Monkey Business as. Idk I don't have much else to say for general lore stuff - he's the Protective Older Sibling ™ archetype while Capucine is the (mostly) clueless younger sibling that Caspian is always trying to parent (even though they're minutes apart in age) - OTHER LORE RELATIONSHIPS - - Caspian is canonically the father of TWO Jaglion cubs (Anahita and Harbor, a vagabond jaglion!). His wife is also a jaguar named Aurea :D - There is a travelling group of trades-lions that visit the fynbos coast to sell to the prides in the area. Capucine warmly welcomes & befriends the group (and spends all of his beetles every single time they visit, bro has a spending problem), while Caspian isn't too sure about the group. He respects the craftsmanship of the herbologist, Alidade (project WIP ;-;), but Caspian doesn't quite get along with the scrawnier artist who tags along. But, Capucine considers [NAME] (the aforementioned annoying artist) his bestie so Caspian tolerates the group's arrival every few months. - Though he doesn't usually indulge in bartering for art from [NAME], Caspian did commission him to paint some of the caves on the shoreline with a mural of the fynbos. This was a gift to Capucine in hopes that he'd leave the coast less often but uh... it didn't really work. It's popular with the lionesses at least! - PROJECT INFO - I began Caspian's project sometime in 11/2023 (I think) and finished it 6/14/2024! He's not entirely complete, as I hope to eventually breed on different eyes, skin, and mane color - but for now I need to wait for more maneater mane colors to get released.
