He is King Candy! (Self named King Candy.) While he is the chosen heir, he is sure to make sure everyone KNOWS he is. He hardly listens to the silly sub male who tries to guide him on patrols. "Hah! Like you'll ever be a king. I saw what happened, they just got you to train ME." The sub male who trains him can't be bothered to care as much as one would think. He knew this lion was chosen as the next heir, and he trusted the king he served. King Candy constantly parades around, boasting about his looks as well as his rare mutation. "I'm beautiful AND I'm rare!" He says, proudly puffing out his mane. With more changes to his fur, certain markings of his make him look (and feel) like a God. This has definitely gone this head, often telling anybody who listens that he is blessed by the Gods, and these markings are a sign of this truth. While he does act like a spoiled brat, Mayhemtalons trusts he will be a good king. King Candy wasn't the cheapest lion, costing gold beetles in order to be traded. "You shall learn." Mayhemtalons tells him all the time, fully believing King Candy will be a great king when he passes.
King Candy could care less about what his current king thinks, however. All he cares about is getting that throne, eagerly awaiting the day this current king finally dies. King Candy holds a lot of bitterness in his heart from his previous pride-- being sold like some cheap commodity! He'll show them, he'll show them all! He'll be a great king!
King Candy is rather skillful in his patrols, to the dismay of his teacher and the joy of his king. On the one paw, Mayhemtalons eagerly asks how each patrol has gone and is always excited to hear how it went. On the other paw, his teacher/their king's sub-male is frustrated because he NEVER listens. King Candy never cares though, and King Mayhemtalons doesn't really seem to listen to his sub male. "He'll grow out of this, he's just a teenager. Be nice to him."
The two do have a decent relationship- while King Candy openly tries to show he could care less about Mayhemtalons, he is secretly grateful to him. He's proud to be the chosen heir, not even being an offspring of Mayhemtalons-- yet he was chosen. He would never fully admit it, but he does appreciate Mayhemtalons. "Thank you." He'll sometimes say, on rare occasions when the two are alone. Mayhemtalons never truly knows what he's talking about, but he always plays with King Candy, sparring so the two can both get stronger. King Candy hates that he was sold like some kind of toy-- but he also appreciates that he wasn't killed or sent to some nature reserve. He's truly grateful to be the next heir. He doesn't want to admit it to anyone, but King Candy hopes to make Mayhemtalons proud when he becomes king someday.
King Candy is fond of battle beetles (well, spiders)!! They intrigue him, and he enjoys playing with them, feeding them, and caring for them. He often spends time with the beetles, watching them scurry and eat the food he offers quickly. making him smile. They often take his mind off of what he'll do as a king, his worries for the future, his stress. It melts away with these silly bugs.
As the final day of his king's rule came to pass, King Candy was renamed by the Gods themselves-- he was dubbed as one of Poseidon's own sacred sharks.He calls himself Shark for short, but he always specifies he is a God's sacred creature.
