Yet, can being rushed by nature to fill such large pawprints really be called luck? Taking over the pride at such a young age has Monsuma confused, stressed, and most of all ill-prepared. He can't escape the eyes around him. Not those of lionesses twice his age who grew alongside his father. Certainly not those of his half-sister, Ophelia, somebody who far deserved the title. He is hardly years older than her. He knows of her disliking of him. How could he not? Oh, Monsuma. What will you do to earn your title? What can you announce at the paws of your father upon your death? Will you be anything like him?
