Kijani plops next to you and tells how he's proud to work under your leadership. You wonder if he ever wants to be a king, but he nuzzles you and says no - he'd be a poor replacement for you!
He may have been right.
While Kijani was valued highly for his looks and good personality, he did not share his humble nature with those outside of his own pride, making for poor relations with other prides. While he did have some alliances with other prides, they were far and few in between, and were all made by his predecessor, Balofa. There was one ally he could trust though, Kibure. He felt a sense of brotherhood with him, as they had a similar temper and were very much alike.
Not only was he lacking in alliances, but he also had a tendency to be rather cruel to lions and lionesses that were not of his own pride. He was always looking for a fight, and they were like bowling pins to him. He fought nearly everything that crossed his path in an attempt to grow stronger, faster.
However, he had a sense of kindness when it came to his own pride, He always tried to keep his pride fed and happy (mostly to not have to deal with them pestering him about being unhappy), even when conditions were harsh. And while he could be a tad apathetic, he did recognize that every lion had some importance to his pride, no matter how small.
Kijani had quite an interest in lionesses. However, if they weren't of a kind personality or drop-dead stunning to gaze upon, he could care less. Which is what made his queen, Nyota N'zuri, so appealing to him. She was a gorgeous skyward with a messy personality. He treated her as if she would break if she touched anything. Nyota wasn't prissy though, and often had thorns or bugs stuck in her fur. Kijani didn't mind. She was still his queen.

And then the next July, HE CAME BACK,
