"...so the rats will burn with me in hell."
--------------
it was uncomfortable, being hosted by such an odd pride.. but they're providing you safety, so perhaps you could get to know them..
◆ You spot a young heir meticulously weaving stray bones into jewelry. He mutters something about "not having enough.. not yet". What a strange lion.
◆ You see him again. This time, the mottled cat is trying to lure out a rat from a crack in the rocks. But didn't he just eat...?
◆ You're woken up by the pitter patter of rabbit paws outside your den. This must be Warren's doing. You go out to talk to him, but see him drawling on about the best way to stalk up on prey. A smaller adolescent is sat beside him, and you recognize him by his bone jewelry. He doesn't seem particularly interested in his mentors teaching, so you decide to leave it for now.
◆ This time, he's listening to the wall. No, seriously, he has his ears and front paws pressed to a rock wall. What the hell?
◆ The low rumble of A Murder Of Crows fill your ears. You're almost immediately on edge, the king isn't known for his kindness among outsiders, but you quickly realize he isn't talking to you. In fact, he doesn't seem upset at all. Beside him is his queen and elder, listening quietly. You feel out of the loop, and want to ask the nearby Warren about it, but his posture is uncomfortable. You're almost certian a glare is present under that rabbit mask. So, you look away.
One of the large, heavy paws of the king is placed on the shoulder of a younger male. You recognize him as the piebald you've seen around camp. For some reason, this seems important, so you watch and listen, but you really only catch the end.
"..An Unkindness of Ravens" rumbles the king, placing a small set of wings on the top of the now-dubbed Ravens shoulders. You can't tell what creature it's made out of, but you don't think you want to know. What matters is that the king and the adolescent now match.
There was low rumbles of celebration, so you join in. Curiously, Warren turns and walks away.
It was only later that you found out you witnessed the crowning of a new heir, finally coming of age...
◆ It's a while until you spot him again, but when you do, you hardly recognize him. He's grown. He's graduated to his full set of wings, and you can't help but feel uneasy at his increase in bone decor. There's something dwelling in his expression, and you're not sure you like it..
◆ You wake up that morning to discover the King was dead. No one was sure how, but he was found that morning.. and his heir had taken his place. You decide to flee before the new king sets his sights on you.
