Ahryma, the Spanker

This feeling of emptiness wasn’t a new feeling to Aliasin, for as long as he could remember, the lands were plagued with consistent preyless seasons. That’s right. It was always like this but why? Why does it reciprocate a sense of dread- of pain- every single time the emotion overwhelmed him. Nothing seemed to cure his condition. No loving lioness or toy, healers, nor shamans. Hunger. Everlasting hunger tormented his vision. Enough emptiness to devour the whole illuminated savannah in one bite. It didn’t have to be this way, no. There was always food around him. He simply needed to look past the grazing oryxes and buffalos. They were all around him, chattering like little monkeys. Those that had his scent, and those with his enemies’. He’d turn his gaze to them, hunger burnings the crevices within him, luring the lion into a crazed, frantic frenzy. He needed to eat, and there was his prey- his kind- all around him after all.
