Toumani's was a bizarre birth, the cub starting to grow small tufts of mane early in life with unusual gold patches in it. The lions took it as a sign that he was chosen by their ancestors to be the next leader of the pride and began tutoring him accordingly. Shame he seemed to be more interested in being a sly mischief maker than actually taking it seriously. Whereas his father before him was a suave flirt, Toumani seemed to be a fanciful sort that took delight in a non-chalance that could only come from someone not fully rooted on earth. He danced around topics or would spout harmless nonsense in response to serious questions, but those with keen minds could see the intelligence behind every word and move. No matter the hardship or obstacles in place, King Toumani always seemed to have it magically pass by his pride.

"Hm? Who says I did anything? You saw yourself, after all. They left of their own accord."
