Biography
You laughingly greet Eclipse and start gently pretending to eat them. They shriek and laugh and tell you your teeth tickle. Formally a part of another pride, Eclipse didn’t expect to become queen. She had always assumed that her father was the king of their pride, for if it wasn’t she could be cast out. She certainly didn’t look like any of the pride members, white patches shrouded her face and back looking almost like stars in the night sky against her blue and purple coat. Eclipse never felt a particular bond to her pride, just her mother. Her mother soon passed away leaving her feeling even further cast aside by what was supposed to be her family. She has always gotten odd stares and could hear the murmurs about her, but she had just always assumed it was due to the strange coloration of her pelt. After many moons by herself she confronted them “You are not a part of our pride,” the king sneered “we put up with you for your mother’s sake, but now we don’t have to anymore.” they had all made it clear she was unwelcomed, so she left. In search of her father she wandered the savannah. Eclipse was young, and uneducated in the ways of hunting in survival. No one had taught her anything at home. She felt her body growing wary, her stomach rumbling. When she awoke she was surrounded by a group of female lions, each carrying the days hunt in their jaws. After eating what they gave her, and regaining enough strength to travel, she followed them to their pride. Eclipse quickly noticed lions with bright colors, and stars in their fur. The king especially, well she looked like an exact copy of him! After confronting him he bashfully explained the circumstances of her birth. He seemed happy, if not confused to see her there. Up to that point he had sired only daughters, and Eclipse was born a boy. In his old age, he would soon need an heir. After integrating into her new family Eclipse became a beloved part of the pride. Soon her father passed away, leaving her king, or soon to be queen. With her father gone she transitioned to female, her family supporting her along the way. Queen Eclipse is happy to be able to call these lions family.
