hovering blossoms. that was their name. hovering blossoms, just like their name was floating hearts.
the two of them hadn’t be very close since the beginning, actually. blossoms had been crowned after hearts had been queen for a while - maybe maybe two of three years before. however, they had known one another since blossoms had joined the pride, seeing as the former king, sir orange, and hearts had been close.
at first, blossoms wasn't quite sure what to think of this queen. she was rather selfish, if they did say so themself, while blossoms was more level headed. of course, orange was constantly helping out the queen, and the other members of the pride often spoke of the ruler's friendship. they seemed close, something that blossoms was envious of. they wanted to have such a close relationship with another - that tight knit bond between two monarchs, in which they weren't romantically involved, but still bonded together.
soon, blossoms was growing up, and seeing as orange wasn't capable of getting more space for them in his old age, blossoms left the pride and headed to another of orange's acquaintances - concord. the king was kind to blossoms during his stay, and blossoms valued the time that he had spent there. but, of course, all too soon, it was time to head home - and be crowned as the new monarch.
