Ezlas had been distant from the pride for many days. He was still fulfilling his duty as king but he was not interacting with any of the lioness or sub males. When he would try they feared him, after Cakusola how could you blame them?. He didn’t, He knew they were afraid so he left them to do what they wanted to freely. He was sad to have to follow such a horrible king but he couldn’t let that consume him. Instead he continued to work on things like Food supply and materials for crafting, health of the pride and Stability of their territory. He was so focused on such jobs he has yet to choose his queen. Though he does have eyes on a particularly deserving lioness.

After quite some time to think Ezlas finally decided who his Queen would be. A lioness whos strong, Not too young, shes wise, and cares about the pride more then anything.
Ria. He decided it was about time the lioness of Tyches legacy would get to experience the honor of being crowned Queen of the Kenopsia pride. Ria agreed to being crowned queen even tho she was nearly 16, she will give her final moments to the pride and do what she can to improve it before her time is up.

Since Ria was announced to be the Queen all of the pride has been much less stressed. They even seem to be warming up to Ezlas.

He had known all this time that his queen was much older then him, that she would pass sooner then he would. But she truly did end up caring about him and while their ruling together was not formed from love for eachother they Definitely bonded over their love for the pride. Ria ended up beginning to find actual love for someone other then her cubs or their own, She had someone else that she could count on along side her. Although that didnt last long, Watching things begin to turn around for the pride was all Ria wanted to see before she joined their forefathers in the afterlife. As long as her family will be okay, so will she.

Throughout February Ezlas has been noticing that with all the lion and lioness searching for mates as he wonder around without a queen of his own.. perhaps he shouldve had a king. He cant dwell on this much tho, he has a role to fill… or two.
