During a warm evening in the savannah, Pink Skies at Sundown was scooped up by Paris, a humble huntress who saw something in this colorful cub. Scoundrel Artist was not fond of him, but wanting to please one of his favorite huntresses, allowed him to stay. Just as the sun started to go down, the lionesses agreed on a name. The lionesses, along with Harley, decided they would raise Pink Skies and turn him into an honorable young lion. After Scoundrel Artist fell sick, he ordered Pink Skies to his den. There, he was told he was to take his place, as his bones had grown weak from constant exploration. Wanting to honor the king that preceded him, he took on the role of king and thrived during the wet season, allowing shrubs and plants to grow throughout his territory. As the forest shifted in appearance, the lionesses felt grateful they had chosen such a beautiful cub to raise together. The kinging of Pink Skies at Sundown meant they were free from Scoundrel Artist's horrifying reign, the change of environment being clear evidence of that, almost like a 'thank you' from the gods. Pink Skies at Sundown treats his lionesses with the utmost respect, doing his best to teach the cubs how to act and play with one another.
