Found in a bush by Desierta, who took her in and raised her alongside Skytegn, Kriger, and the other huntresses of the pride
Grew up into a similar lion as Desierta, cruel and bloodthirsty, with little regard to anyone's feelings but her own
Soon after adulthood, she started sprouting some thick fluff around her cheeks, throat, and the back of her neck, which eventually turned into a faux mohawk
Eventually dispersed from her birth pride once Skytegn and Kriger became leaders, so that she could become a leader herself

[Prune] was born outside of the pride, and raised by her birth family’s murderer, Desierta. Despite Desierta being murderous and sadistic, she had a soft spot for cubs and took care of [Prune] and the other little ones very well, teaching them how to hunt and spar, rely on themselves and only themselves… how to intimidate other, weaker lions into doing their bidding… how to manipulate anything, and when all manipulation tactics fail, how to easily kill a lion twice their size. Truly the best things to teach little cubs….
[Prune] was raised alongside Skytegn, Kriger, Nyota, Måneskin, [Ice], and [Reindeer], and became the best of friends as cubs, their bond staying strong even as adults. Although they all turned out to be a bit overly-confident, a bit violent, and maybe a little… manipulative…, Prune turned out to be… the most like Desierta, the cruelest, most sadistic of the seven, with little regard for anyone's feelings or safety but her own and her six siblings.
She was born as a male cub, so the mane sprouting from her neck once she reached adulthood wasn't very surprising, but very upsetting and confusing to little [Prune] when the only other lion getting a mane around that time was Nyota, a male. It made her very aware of her body which sort of kick-started most of her anger issues. Desierta took notice quickly, and brought her to a strange, sex-changing pool and after drinking from it, [Prune]’s body changed rapidly, in an almost instance, magical transformation. Unfortunately, it didn't get rid of her mane like she hoped… but fortunately, the other lionesses started growing manes soon after they all turned two, and [Prune] didn't feel so weird about it.
Desierta retired once she was getting old, and Skytegn being blessed by the primal gods, Skytegn was the one to take over the pride. Her and her sister were so close, though, that Kriger became co-leader, and took over the pride together. A year being under Skytegn’s reign, [Prune] realized
she wanted to be a leader, too. Desierta didn't share much about being leader, so Prune hadn't been very jealous under Desierta’s reign, but seeing Skytegn so respected from lions outside the pride, and also a little feared… and Prune wanted that. Desperately. If it wasn't her own beloved family being the leaders, she would've just fought for the place, but despite being jealous, she wouldn't hurt her own siblings. So, she dispersed from the pride, joining a new one and fighting
that leader for the place. Thaliah had been a well-loved leader, so it took time for the pride to adjust to [Prune], but it only took a few lions’s deaths to get them… used to her. She didn't care if they liked her yet, she just wanted to be powerful and respected. And powerful and respected she was….
Almost as respected as her sisters were.
It wasn't enough, though. Desierta raised [Prune] and the rest of her siblings entirely equal, treating them all with the same amount of love and attention as the others, and none of them had any real experience being below or above anyone, and Prune’s first taste of being unequal to her siblings… hurt. She didn't like it at all.
So, she started searching out gods to make pacts with. Not many wanted to make pacts with her, though… except for one, the snake goddess [someone].
Everything was good. She was respected, but more importantly feared. She was able to do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted.
It was perfect. Until she grew lonely, and it wasn't. She had everything, but no one to share it with.
She started taking trips away from her pride and spending more time with her family, but it wasn't really… enough for her.
Then, one of her pride members met [lion], a rogue lion living around the outskirts of her pride and brought him back to the pride, hiding him until eventually [Prune] sniffed him out. She scared him a bit, but let him be, unlike the others that had tried to join the pride earlier. There was something about him that made it too hard to chase him off.
The longer he stayed, the less she wanted him gone. He was kind, too kind for his own good, confident, thick-maned and tall, just absolute perfection in [Prune’s] eyes. But anytime she tried to talk to him, he’d get quiet and make up some excuse to leave. He wouldn't even look her in the eyes.
