Trevelyan came to the Thedas pride only a month before King
Grheene's demise.
Martyn had found him wandering on the outskirts of their territory, blabbing about the stars and the Celestial Kingdom from which he came from. He claimed the spawn of Apedemak and Tefnut, carrying his mother's coat.
Martyn wasn't completely sure of what he was speaking of, but he was curious and wanted to hear more. The two ended up spending the entire day together,
Martyn neglecting his patrolling duties and Trevelyan forgetting about his mission to the spread of word of Apedemak.
The two of them parted for the night but reunited the following morning. After having another day filled with questions and answering them, they would separate again, but Trevelyan did not truly want to. He followed
Martyn back to his den where he found the Thedas pride residing. Trevelyan never knew this about himself, but he was actually quite shy. He had never met a whole pride at once, only passing rogues and border guards here and there, but seeing all those lions and lionesses unnerved him. He was filled with curiosity but also fear for the new lions. They had no idea of what was to come from the Battle for the Heavens, he had to help them! He retreated to concoct a plan.
Upon the next morning, they meet along a riverbank to chat. Without revealing anything, Trevelyan flatters
Martyn before asking to join his pride.
Martyn agrees immediately but thinks it would be best for Trevelyan to stay hidden until he can work some things out within his pride. Trevelyan does as he is told and remains hidden from the Thedas pride, but spies on them often, learning the quirks and inner workings of the pride before even meeting a single one of them.
4/8/18: An unfortunate series of events takes place the day King
Grheene collapses. Today was the day
Martyn was to introduce Trevelyan to the pride as his heir. He brought him to their den where everyone was relaxing, just after the initial collapse. Unknown to anyone in the pride, Trevelyan remained behind everyone as they counseled and grieved over their fallen king. No one had noticed him until
Grheene had asked to speak with him and then suddenly all eyes were upon him. Trevelyan approached solemnly and suddenly self-conscious as the pride watched him. His conversation with
Grheene was brief and frankly, nothing important was said, yet Trevelyan still could feel a profound for a lion he barely knew. With
Grheene's passing, was now to be king, but on the very next day, he announced to the pride that he wouldn't, he couldn't accept the crown and instead would be passing it on to Trevelyan. The lionesses were confused but didn't oppose, they had seen this coming for a long time.
Sal seemed to be the only one was vehemently opposed this. He started shouting and cursing at Trevelyan, accusing him of poisoning
Grheene and yelling at the lionesses for being too blind to see it. He ran off and
Martyn had to follow after him, leaving Trevelyan to the lionesses.
After a short conversation, most of the lioness immediately warmed up to Trevelyan, commenting on how cute he looked and how young he was. He was embarrassed but in a good way. By the time
Martyn had returned with
Sal following, the entire pride had chatted with Trevelyan and they all liked him immensely.
Martyn was pleased with this and within a month Trevelyan was crowned king. Queen
Fantasia stepped down, from her position, but was still in charge of most things regarding the pride while he picks or finds his own queen to rule by his side.
4/12/18: Four months in as king of Thedas and Trevelyan was loving it. His lionesses adored him, Martyn was his mentor as well as his best friend, and he was beginning to spread his genes amongst the pride lionesses. They loved hearing his stories about the Celestial Kingdom and his parents and are completely enthralled by his relaxed personality. Everyone loved him, all except for
Sal. The two males continue to have vicious, verbal spats as
Sal kept harping on every mistake Trevelyan made. His biggest criticism is the fact that he had yet to find or choose a queen. Trevelyan ignores him, but he knew the lionesses agreed with
Sal in that department. They were anxiously waiting for him to choose one of them as his queen, but he couldn't bring himself to. He liked all of them equally, and the ones who would make sense as queens like
Fantasia II or
Ozara or
Ozarka are too old or too young for him. He wanted a queen around his age so that both of them could rule for a long time together.
4/13/18: Trevelyan left the Thedas pride territory in search of a queen, but found no such luck. He instead ended with finding an adolescent and a cub that he brought back to the pride. Much to
Sal's pleasure, he mocked Trevelyan from afar and out of his reach so the king ignored him. If he couldn't find a queen within a year, he would just have to pick one of his lionesses.
4/16/18: When
Carswell III passes on, Trevelyan doesn't know how to comfort his grieving pride, he can't even comfort himself. All he can think about is
Carswell III's last words to him. She requested that he find a queen and very soon before
Fantasia passed on if he could accomplish it. If not the pride would be plunged into chaos and deceit. His naivety had him disagreeing with her, but he soon found out what she was talking about.
4/25/18: Queen
Fantasia's death deals a serious blow to Trevelyan. As the old queen was helping him find his footing in becoming and being a king, the two grew close to each other. He was very dependant on her for professional and personal advice and he could see what
Grheene had valued and loved so much about her. If he was being true to himself, he knew he had a small crush on the queen, but he knew that he could never replace or even compare to
Grheene. With her passing, he had little time to mourn his friend as
Carswell III's prediction came true. He didn't see it at first, maybe he didn't want to, but he couldn't help but notice how hostile everyone was towards each other and yet so incredibly friendly with him. They all wanted the same thing and that was to be his queen. It seemed like each week a new lioness would confess her feelings for him and he would have to reject them as best he could. First, it was
Ndege, who struck him in the face leaving behind a scar. Then he had to turn down
Ujuzi, she reacted better but was still upset with him, leaving in an angry huff.
Nwala was the most recent attempt. He truly did believe they were becoming friends, but she showed her true colors soon enough. She tried to guilt him into agreeing and when that didn't that work she told him of
Sal's planned coup. Instead of convincing him that he needs her, this only angers him. If she had truly loved him she would have told him about
Salbefore using it as a card to be played. He denies her again and she storms off.
4/26/18: Trevelyan, despite knowing better, confronts
Sal and accuses him of planning a coup.
Sal denies this of course, but Trevelyan can't find a single reason to believe him. Ever since he had shown up,
Sal had been nothing but nasty, rude, and aggressive towards him. He was jealous of several things. Trevelyan was king, he was Martyn's best friend, and he got the entire pride fawning after him since day one.
Sal had all the reason to plan a coup and so accusations turned to charges, words to actions, and into a fight. Trevelyan won the fight too easily, even as young as he was, and he took it upon himself to deepen this lesson. He purposely damages
Sal's right eye to the point of no repair and leaves him to bleed out for quite some time before allowing
Zawadi to attend to his wounds.
4/27/18: Two months after Queen
Fantasia's death and Trevelyan realizes the damage he has caused by being so irresponsible and not owning up to his feelings. He knew of the lioness he loved, since the very first seconds of his arrival to the Thedas pride, but he was too afraid of rejection to even think of it as a possibility. She was perfect in every which way. With her personality, her looks, and her political standing, which he hated thinking of, but had to acknowledge. He was a coward for letting his pride members turn on each other while he hid from her. No matter what, he had to confess his love to
Ozarka and pick a queen once and for all.
She confesses her own feelings for him and the two of them quickly fall deeper in love with each other. Their marriage is the next day and the entire pride attends. Even
Martyn,
Fantasia II, and
Ozara are there to witness their joining. It truly is a joyous day for both of them.
4/28/18: Two stranger lionesses enter their territory one day, and the pride is absolutely enthralled by the both of them. They seem harmless enough, and unfortunately, Trevelyan doesn't have time to socialize with them as there are invading males on the northern border, and so leaves
Ozarka to introduce them to the pride.
4/29/18: It takes a while before Trevelyan can rest easy and introduce himself to the new lionesses. Apparently,
Piharii was a previous member, from a time before he was king, and so he welcomed her to stay and join one of the hunting teams if she would like to. The second lioness was introduced as
Dovahnor and she wanted an audience with the pride. She was on the path to being king back in her territory and was requesting Trevelyan's help to make it so. She knew he served the same lion god as she did, but the current lions living in her territory were heathens not fit for even the Celestial stone. After announcing her intentions of taking over as a true king of the unnamed territory the pride began conversing amongst themselves as
Dovahnor pulled Trevelyan and
Ozarka to the side. In private, she told them that after expelling the old residents she would need strong lionesses to hunt and protect their newly acquired territory. She was willing to take some of the many adolescents she had seen running around and teach them the way of the legendary lionesses. Trevelyan, seeing this as a perfect way to a new alliance as well as spreading the celestial blood, agreed to talk with his adolescents and see which ones would want to move to the new king's territory, but first, they would need a name.
3/19/2019(written9/17/2020): After months of no contact and nothing eventful,
Dovahnor reaches out to Trevelyan. There were unhappy lionesses within her pride and she wanted to offer them a secure place in his pride. Trevelyan had noticed the same and accepted the offer without hesitation. This transferring of lionesses and blending of their bloodlines solidified their unspoken alliance. They had both encroached on the territory separating them, eventually forcing the residing pride out, and now shared a border. Despite speaking to each other very little, there was a great amount of trust between them as they had both come from the same Star pride. Despite her dislike of males, Trevelyan knows
Freya III must have put in a good word for him. The borders between them are completely open and their lionesses are free to cross between them at will.
10/14/2020: A few months after the passing of Carswell IV and Fantasia II, it dawns on Trevelyan that he too is aging, but more importantly that doesn't have an heir. Martyn was his heir, but the lion had been much older than him and his death made that no longer an option. Trevelyan begins his desperate search for an heir.
10/???/2020: Trevelayn's heir is born
10/25/2020: Trevelyan chases away one of his sub males known as Sal who had always given him the most trouble. He doesn't want the other male to be a negative influence on his son.
