“Hello young one.” A giant blue ferus was in front of Apollo. “Hello?” Apollo Said confused. He didn’t know where his mother went only that his father left him there at the lake. “My name is Coda and I’m the protector of the souls of this world” Coda signed to something behind him “This is Whisper he’s been my companion for over 15 years.” Coda looked sad he knew something that Whisper didn’t. “Why are you telling me this?” Apollo Asked. “I’m getting older Apollo… and I’m starting to realise I have peace with it. Which means I won’t be with whisper forever.” As Coda spoke out those words Whisper looked sad and terrified. “What does that have to do with me?” Apollo Was still confused. “I need a Heir that can take over my position when I’m 16 years old.” Whisper looked down on the ground and small blue drops fell on the ground. As coda looked at whisper he continued “young spirits do still age but very slowly. That’s why Whisper is still a cub.” Coda sighted “Whisper cannot leave this world I’m afraid.” Coda sat down. “Why can she not leave?” Apollo Asked. “A spirit can only leave this world when they have found peace. Whisper promised something to her self when she got killed and can’t full fill that promise. Resulting that she can’t find any peace.” Whisper curled up next to coda. “I need someone that can take care of her when I’m gone.” Coda looked to the little spirit. “Why me?” Apollo Asked coda. “I see very much potential in you Apollo. And you have a connection with the spirit realm” Coda said “I will train you in my last year of being in this world I will leave you everything including my pride.” Apollo Was amazed by this. “A whole pride?” Apollo Asked amazed Coda chuckled “yes a pride full of amazing lionesses.” Apollo Got exited and happily accepted the offer. “ Apollo I thank you for accepting now would you like to come with me?” months went by and coda became sick and instead of 16 he retired at 17. “Iam to young coda.” Apollo said seeing Coda sickly on the ground in his cave “No.. you can do this Apollo” Coda rested his eyes and fell asleep. Apollo was worried he wasn’t a good king at first but the pride assured him he was one of the best they ever had.
It was a dark night for the pride their beloved Coda died…. He was a great leader and won’t be forgotten. His children still roaming this earth will continue the legacy and Apollo promised him he would be the best king ever. Some years passed and Apollo kept his promise. He helped the lost souls but he didn’t feel…. Complete. There was this empty hole in his hearth that just wouldn’t heal. It felt so dark. So painful everything Apollo tried to find out what it was. What was Apollo missing? He found his best friend Whisper. He has the best pride. He was happy right? “What’s the matter” a familiar voice sounded and tears jumped in Apollo’s eyes “CODA!” He said happily. Coda laughed “what’s the matter young one?” Coda looked at Apollo “you grew into a strong leader Apollo. I’m proud of you.” Apollo bowed showing his appreciation “why are you still here Coda?” Apollo knew Coda wasn’t at peace. “I’m here to help you fill the hole Apollo.” Coda sat down and looked at the stars “did I ever tell you about you parents?” Apollo shook his head “you only told me they sended you to me to help me.” Coda looked at Apollo who was still smaller then him “they did… as their last request.” Apollo’s eyes where blank “what? I don’t think I understand” Coda sighted” I think you do Apollo” Apollo did and he teared up not from happiness this time “what happened to them?” Coda sighted “They died of a sickness that’s unknown to many of us. You and I are immune. Our blood can heal the sickness but only once. After the victim is cured they have a year of immunity before they can get the sickness again. Then they can’t be cured which is what happened. “I’m back here because of them.” Coda continued “they wanted to see their son once more before they go. “ Apollo agreed “where?” Apollo asked Coda “in the cave where you lost them. The first time.” Apollo was puzzled first time losing them? Then he saw the cave and it’s darkness “I just got lost here I don’t understand….” Apollo entered the cave but coda waited outside. “I have to wait here Apollo you have to do this your self finish the cave’s trail and answer the call of your parents and no other one.” Coda was serious. “I will be back quick” Apollo said to Coda and he went further in the cave. “Apollo…..” a voice sounded but he didn’t recognise it at first then he remembered only to follow his parents voices. “Apollo…” this one was familiar “mom?” He said wondering “honey” dad! “You have to leave” Apollo heard Coda’s voice “it’s not save anymore they have spotted you!” Apollo was puzzled who? He thought but he heard loud noises snapping bones and his mom and dad shaped into the most terrifying thing he ever saw a blue light appeared in front of him “WHISPER!” Apollo yelled “GO!” She said to him and Apollo left so did coda. “Coda!” He roared but no replies. “Are you okay?” It was whisper “Iam are you?” Apollo looked at whisper and saw that her bright blue light was fading. “I don’t think Iam honestly” Whisper fell to the ground “let’s go back maybe the elders know what to do!” Apollo rushed to his pride “im afraid there’s nothing I can do” one of the elders said “but there is someone who might know more” Apollo was send to the eldest elder and got told a story. “There is a place called the forest of fate. Lions go here hoping for redemption….” Apollo tilted his head. “That doesn’t sound so bad!” The elder shook her head. “Those who’s redemption was declined by the gods got turned into a monster called the κακό meaning evil. All declined souls go into the monster not only to feed it but to give it strength. The more souls the κακό Eats and absorbs the harder it is to get its hearth. Don’t let it fool you. It knows your darkest secrets as soon as soon as you step into the aura.” The elder stopped. “I don’t remember anything else….. memory’s fade I’m afraid…..” Bravehearth walked in she was one of the new lions in the pride. “I’ve heard that story many times before. I will come with you Apollo.” She insisted. “No you won’t.” He growled warningly. Apollo somewhat regretted claiming her. “Now now don’t get mad.” Bravehearth mocked Apollo. Her Attitude lacked respect for Apollo. “It’s to dangerous.” He reasoned. “Well we both know that i wont change my mind.” Bravehearth insists. “Fine-“ Apollo gave in. It’s been a month since she joined and at first she was kind but now she thinks she can own the place. Apollo was soft and never really chased off lions but he was so close to snapping. “How will we find the forest?” Bravehearth asked the elder. The elder explained they had to go through the mountains , desert and a river that almost seemed like a ocean. “I’ve done worse” Bravehearth joked. Whisper doesn’t have much time left. Her light faded even more.
