Confused Liefde♤

Liefde watches curiously as the king approaches the odd stone, abandoning the little rock he’s playing with. Sevgi regards the rock with a certain look in his eye, not a look of greed, but more like the stone is just another adventure for him.

“Excited, little buddy?” Sevgi asks, smiling. “This stone is supposed to give the person who touches it immortality.” Liefde looks at the thing again. It doesn’t look that impressive.

Sevgi strides up to the stone as confidently as he approaches everything in life, not hesitating to reach out and place a paw on it. A flash of bright light takes over the whole room, and Liefde is forced to close his eyes against it.

A wave of heat passes over him, like the very edge of his fur is being singed but the flame hasn’t hit him yet. As suddenly as it came, it passed, and when Liefde opens his eyes again he is shocked to see Sevgi’s pelt mirrored on his own, but the lion is nowhere to be seen.
