Saturn padded down the crossroads, flicking her tail gently behind her as she walked. Sapphire was carrying another lion’s litter - which didn’t bother her, as she convinced her lover to do such a thing. But still, she felt an emptiness there, missing the feeling of having a cub of her own. She paused, while strolling around the trading center, eyes flashing with interest as an azure, sea-colored cub yawned behind his father. His father smiled, noticing the interest.
“Interested, are you? You can take him for twenty Golden Beetles, if you’re willing to pay the price.”
He commented, lapping at his paw indifferently. Sapphire blinked in slight surprise.
“You’re willing to just… give your cub up that easily?”
She inquired, raising a brow. He shrugged, pausing his cleaning for a moment.
“Everyone else does it. And I have quite the handful of cubs at home. His mother isn’t even around.”
Saturn nodded, noticing how the cub did look a bit thin. Making her decision, she dropped the squirming beetles in the lion’s paw. With a nod and a grin, the lion picked the cub up by the scruff, setting it gently atop Saturn’s shoulders.
Oh, how things would change.

Neptune lay next to Venus, softly lapping at his partner’s cheek. His claws were tensed, having fought in a ‘fight club’ of sorts earlier, accidentally killing a young male, mercilessly, yet Venus always seemed to calm him down, with a charming smile and soft purr. Even with his body changed, Venus still acted and sounded the same, the same glint in his beautifully bi-colored eyes.
