Kurage Lore woahhhh not amazing woooo

Ashamed
In a land where the sun paints the sky golden and the winds whispered ancient tales, there lived a lion named Kurage. Kurage had a pair of massive wings, gifts that were bestowed upon her from the heavens upon her at birth. Her wings were everything to Kurage, wings that were both her strength and burden, for they carried her through many battles where her claws and courage alone could not. But every victory did not come undamaged, yet with a new scar. Overtime, the beautiful fur of the lion had become flawed, deepened with cuts and marks. Each scar brought memories of every victory, where she had fought hard in the fierce battles. However, instead of that prideful feeling, Kurage only felt shame everytime she saw herself.
Overtime, the reflection she had once seen in herself was no longer there, not the creature she had once dreamed of becoming, but a creature who was torn apart by wars. Kurage didn’t enjoy how she looked, her large wings that were once opened and free now tucked close to her face, hiding herself, hiding her flaws and imperfections. She refused to show the world the scars she was once proud of obtaining as evidence of the fierce battles she overcame. The fearless lion now wandered the forest alone, her wings not only shielding her enemies but her own reflection.
Other animals whispered of the lions strength and courage, thankful for what she has done for them. The lion at heart, could not hear their praise. She was only an imperfection, a creature that had fallen far from grace. Day after day, it wandered alone in the forest, the wings draped over her as a veil of sorrow. Tired after the long day, the lion eventually layed herself down near a small pond for the night.
The silence was almost eerie, yet she was used to it. It did not take long for a pair of wings to flap behind her, perching itself up into a tree. It was a mighty and old owl that approached. Wise and gentle, the owl had seen many creatures in its long life.
“Why do you hide your face, great lion?” The owl hooted out, nesting himself into the branch to make himself comfortable. Kurage sat silently for a couple of minutes in her peace, unsure if to answer the random animal that had perched up behind her near the trees. She could feel its eyes burn into her, her back turned towards the tree.
“My scars have stripped me off my beauty, and I cannot accept what I have become.”Kurage responded, her tone a little silent but loud enough to be heard for the mighty animal. The old owl simply twisted his head to the side a little, as if looking confused with its wide eyes.
“Your scars are not marks of defeat, my dear friend." He hooted, eventually flying down to the ground level where Kurage was.”I am sure you have fought many fierce battles and have had your victory’s. They are not flaws, but a story.”The owl walked over behind the lion, eventually making it’s way to stand infront of her with those wide eyes that pierced through her wings.“It is time to accept that these scars are beauty’s of victory’s won, protecting the animals and lions that have been threatened.”
Kurage’s wings trembled, as if considering the owl’s words.
“Dear, Kurage,” The old owl hopped infront of the lion. “These scars do not make you less; they make you more. You are not flawed, my dear friend. Let those see your face, and be proud of your victory’s.” The owl hooted, backing up just a little bit. He let his words simmer before he made his way out into the night sky again to return home.
Kurage could only feel her wings tremble, in fear of opening themselves to reveal herself after years. Hesitantly with a deep breath, the lion parted its wings.
And for the first time in years, she allowed for the moonlight to touch her face, illuminating the scars that had haunted her for years.

New Eyes
There lived a lioness named Kurage, the known lioness across the continent due to her known battling victory's. Kurage, who was also known for her bright and colorful fur, now only felt shame as scars destroyed it. Her fur that was once admired by all, now felt dull and heavy. Her appearance, one she stared at with pride after every victory was a reflection she no longer recognized. She could not bare the thought of being seen with such horrible scars.
Once a cub, Kurage had only discovered she was special. The small cub discovered that behind her ears grew delicate wings, small, shimmering and barely noticed by others. She loved those delicate wings as if it was her entire life. She would stride with her wings wide and opened, as if to show the world her specialty. She could never think of being ashamed of those wings nor herself. It was cocky to think, but Kurage always thought she was the best out of her siblings, even as the runt of the litter. She could never imagine trying to hide herself from others. She wanted to show everybody just how special she was.
Yet here stood Kurage. Her wings folded across her eyes and parts of her face, shielding herself from the world. She would retreat into the far away lands of the jungles, away from the laughing rivers and bright skies.
Her world grew darker with each passing day, and once the vibrant light of her pride became foreign to her. Unfamiliar with the new life in the shadows, Kurage struggled. Her eyes strained to adjust to the sudden darkness she gave herself, stumbling over roots and stones that were once easy to navigate.
The once might and fearless lioness, the one who had conquered every battle and won every fight, was now losing a war within herself.
Days turned into weeks, and the dense jungle seemed to swallow her whole. Kurage's eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness. She pressed the wings tightly against her face as she kept moving. Kurage would eventually use her sense of smell to navigate herself around while keeping her features hidden. Her ears and nose were her eyes.
One evening, as the dim light of the setting sun filtered through the jungle, Kurage had decided to call it a night before going to rest by a nearby pond. Kurage eventually heard a soft rustle behind her, yet she could not be bothered to be defensive after the long day. Only then when she heard the small paws crunching leaves could she speak. "Who are you?' Kurage asked, her voice quiet.
"I'm Alie!' The voice shouted, almost running up to her. His voice was innocent, lacking any judgement. Kurage could only shift uncomfortably as she felt the presence of the small creature behind her. "Who are you?' The cub repeated back, his voice tilting as he pawed at her back. Kurage flinched before speaking up. "I am no one." She muttered, hoping the creature would leave her in peace. The cub only tilted his head, unimpressed by her attempt to possibly push him away.
It was only then that Alie, the small cub, realized the distinct fur pattern on the older lioness, and those wings that started behind her ears. He gently walked up infront of her before feeling his eyes widen just amlittle. "You're not no one. You're the lioness with wings! The one my mother told stories about!" The cub's eyes gleamed with admiration at the sudden realization. "You're Kurage! The strongest lioness in the world!'
Kurage could only wince at that mention. The strongest? She no longer felt that way. The cub circled her, eyes wide with wonder and almost jumping from his spots. He wasn't fazed by the scars or the dulness of her once radiant fur. The only saw the lioness from the stories--bold, fearless, and powerful. "Why are you hiding, Kurage? The cub asked, his head tilting.
