Stal started a new pride after he was chased out of his own by his family, he never liked the laws that caused lions to chase out their own young, and find the value in all lives, he would much rather keep everyone safe. He started this pride to provide homes for unwanted lions. He found the love of his life Rosaria one day while traveling in the grassland together they had their first cub. While waiting for this cub he kept exploring, and finding new lionesses and cubs to bring home. Artemis, a cub he came across one day at the giving tree. She had been running from her pride that saw her and chased her off due to her odd colors. He took her in as if she was his own.
Stal overheard one of the new lioness's that he took in who hadn't even gained her name from Rosaria talking about hurting one of the prides cubs because she didn't think it was good to have such mutations, the cub was impure and ill-tempered to he. He had asked her to leave, but she didn't want to go, she thought that her way was the only way. She had challenged Stal for the pride, they fought in the outskirts of the prides territory. With a quick painless blow Stal had won, but at what cost. He wishes it could have ended different, but she had threatened him and his daughters. No one would go unpunished for that.
