Originally named Hook, when he was younger he always admired Hymir and had dreamed about being the king of his own pride one day just like his mentor. He always thought that it was cool that his father figure and twin sister, Uma, had teeth that looked the same and had wondered if he'd ever get teeth that looked like that too... But alas all the way up to adulthood he never got them. He then realize that it was a genetic mutation that he would likely never have but either way he was still happy to be related to and be close with those who had a mutation as cool as that.

After Hook had passed, a lion appeared one day that seemed identical in almost every way, even his name was the same. The only difference between the two was that this new lion had a mutation. The new Hook even was walking around and greeting everyone just as the old one had. It took a bit for everyone to get used to the idea of it but Hook proved time and time again that he was the same King his pride new and loved.

Across many years the lions he knew throughout his days as a cub and as an adolescent eventually passed away along with some of his dearest friends and his beloved sister. Throughout many of his journeys he made lots of friends lion or otherwise and had watched many of them as they eventually passed away. On one of those amazing journeys he had he met the love of his life, a lion and tiger hybrid named Misha. As more and more time went by Misha got older and older and Hook had feared the worst, he was afraid he'd lose her forever like he had many others. He had to prepare for her death, he did as much as he could to try and make her as comfortable as he could with the time she had left. Misha knew that her time would be soon but couldn't bear the pain of leaving her husband behind in such agony. So one day she set out on a way to find a means of staying alive for Hook. After a long set of time without food and making her way to her husband's aging friend's territory looking for help she found a strange blob in the mud. She wasn't too fond of the idea but hadn't eaten in a few days decided to eat the strange thing I front of her. It had tasted weird but after eating it she felt better than she had ever before and decided to go back home.
