Katalox has always had a connection to the spirits, both lion and other. When he was a young cub, he found a small golden colored rock, and became instantly amazed by its sparkle and shine in both the solar and lunar lights!
As he was named the heir of his pride, he took his rock to the monkeys, and asked for it to crafted into an earring. After he claimed his earring, he travelled to a far away land, unburdened by a fight for territory, as all prides lived as one. He found an elder lioness, an enchantress, placed the earring in front of her, and explained what he needed, "I've always been able to see the spirits, now i must be able to hear them." The lioness nodded and began her work, asking Katalox to stand outside. Soon, she called him back in, and presented the newly embued jewelry, which now shines without need for light. He thanked thanked the lioness, and began his return home..
