King of the Jungle

In the rule of Mutambi, a tiny cub was found. The gentle king took in the small one, giving him food and protection and, when he was old enough, showing him the span of their pride's home. It didn't take long for the cub to grow into a behemoth who overtook his surrogate father--a Primal beast worth beholding. But Mutambi did not fear his young ward--instead the old king put his focus into raising the young male to be as kind and gentle as he.

In the time of early spring, poachers encroached on the lands. Feldspar watched as Mutambi fought them off from their home again and again, but the old male was running out of steam. While on patrol one day, Feldspar was too far away to answer the roar of his step-father...by the time he reached the sounds he found Mutambi cut down by the poachers he had so bravely defended the family against.

Some of the old lionesses fled, fearing for their lives. Others remained, looking to Feldspar for the protection his father had once shown them. The young Primal, though inexperienced, stepped up to the role and claimed the pride.

He later chose to take the name Undisputed Amaranth, though he still answers all his queens when they call him Feldspar.
