You were walking, in a plain where the grass was so soft under your paws that you could mistake it for clouds. Everything was silent, not a bird chirping, only the sound of the wind could be heard. Flowers were blooming under your steps, and some bees flew around you as you finally sat, next to a huge tree. Looks like you finally found it, the perfect spot for a quick nap…
Well, that’s what you thought, before hearing a loud noise coming from the nearby forest. You didn’t even have time to get up as a bunch of lionesses came out of the shadows, looking at you, an intruder. Surrounding you in a matter of seconds, they trapped you, ready to attack if your whiskers moved slightly. Claws out, you prepared yourself for the inevitable fight, puffing up your fur.
But before anything could happen, you heard a whisper behind the ladies, as a lioness clumsily tried to pass the crowd. She was way smaller than the others, her white fur messy and full of petals. Who was she ? A young hunter ? A broodmother maybe ? But before you could even ask anything, she started talking, putting her face right in front of you, and seeing her from that close didn’t make her more threatening at all, with her chubby face and bright pink eyes.
“What are you doing in my territory ?” Her voice was as threatening as her look, high pitched. Was she the leader of this whole pride ? Her ?
The lionesses around looked at her, seeming to have high hopes in the small queen. But it seemed to only make her uncomfortable, as she lowered her head to avoid your stare.
“Are you sure I need to do this ? I mean they don’t seem like a threat do they ?” You heard sighs from the crowd, some of the lionesses even walking away, disappearing in the dense forest. “I don’t mind having guests as long as they don’t hurt anyone !” She smiled at you as she continued “I’m Sayori ! The leader of this pride ! And you are ?”
"Here we are !" She said as you followed her into what seemed like her den. You could see some clean nests seeming like they weren't used a lot, and a bigger one, so messy that even a hyena wouldnt sleep in it. And based on the petals laying on it, you easily guest who was sleeping here.
"I love this place, even if I like all the flowers of our territory, I always thought the real magic was there, next to the waterfall." And you had an interesting view from here too, you could see the forest and plains quite well, the lionesses in the camp entering their dens for the night, cubs playing with some fluffballs, and the broodmothers watching them as if the fluffballs were about to attack them.
Maybe she wasnt too bad of a leader after all, a bit unusual but.. she loved her pride and maybe.. that's all that counts ?
