King Lethiferous is a force of nature! Literally! He's a Nature Spirit, that similar to a phoenix, reincarnates into a new body once the last gets too aged or injured! He represents both the frigid cruelty and warm love nature can give. Life and Death. Though he's usually on the cold and stoic side.
When reincarnated it does take him a little while to remember who he is, everything he has experienced, how to wield magic, and how to generally function. It's a messy sight to witness.
When reincarnated he sometimes changes how he presents himself! Turning to look only female and go by she/her, being both female and male, or just being on fire at all times are some examples! He always, however, is Bisexual and Non-Binary, currently he is going by He/They!
Despite being able to control his entire territory's weather/animals/disasters/plant life, Lethiferous refuses to. Even if his pride is dying, he will not. For nature itself decides all their fates, including his, and it'd be foolish to try to change that. The only way he'd do such is if nature tells him to, through intuition or word, he does ask after all- if it's severe enough at least. Nature would lead him the right way anyways. However, despite those restrictions, he always does his best to take care of his pride, and loves them all dearly!
He doesn't use his magic for major changes, ever, the only exceptions being during rituals, celebrations, or territorial disputes with other Nature Spirits. Or if Nature again tells him to burn everyone and everything to the ground, for example.
However, he usually uses it in smaller events, like setting fires for camp to keep everybody warm, magic shows for the cubs or those who wish, special effects for intense story-telling, and every once in a while to give himself a magical edge in fights. If he's upset enough he can effect the weather across his lands as well, he doesn't do this purposefully.
Nature refuses to explain its reasoning, and a lot of the time, so does he.

You are enjoying a walk with Cub, when they suddenly dive forward shouting NUTRIENTS! Oh no. No! Don't eat those nutrients! SPIT IT OUT!
Cub stumbles around your paws clumsily as she follows you, scampering along. Why are cubs so cute?
It's a quiet day. Or, it was. Now Cub is bouncing on your belly. Yes, we know you're bored. We get it. You don't have to say it over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again….
"It's okay to make mistakes," Grandpaw Lethiferous rumbles to his grandcubs. "We all make mistakes. I do, your old man does - even though he thinks he' s infallible," Grandpaw Lethiferous winks at you. "I'll tell you about one mistake your old pop made when I was king..."
Cub wiggles around your feet playfully then proceeds to bat at your tail. Cute.
You playfully bat Cub over in greeting as you approached, and Cub squeals in glee. You keep tussling with your paws for a while.
Cub came up and curled into your side. Just as you both were about to fall asleep, they sneeze. Or at least you think that's what that sound was. Your brain was too busy melting from the cute to know for sure.
PRETTY CASSIS asks you why you wrestle with lionesses so much. You tell them it's...good exercise…yeah. That.
You settled in for the night to sleep, but then you felt something trembling next to you. You find FIERY INVERTED SHADED ROSE, looking scared. You pull them close with your paws and let them snuggle until you both are asleep.
Cub wants a story before bedtime. Alright, fair enough. You settle next to them and tell them about that one time Apedemak came up to you while exploring and you got in a fight over stars or fireflies…
Cub is telling you about a weird dream they had last night. Apparently you battled a walking feathered lizard thing, and then a flying metal thing shot light at you, and then dead, decaying hyenas chased you, and then you were talking to ghosts...are they sure that wasn't a nightmare?
Sea Salt(Achromia) played a practical joke on the cubs, stalking up while making weird noises and pretending to be a spirit! It was funny until the cubs refused to sleep that night.
You approach Cub and say a hello, but Cub suddenly squeaked and dashed off. Oops, you scared the little bugger!
Cub doesn't want a nap. Doesn't NEED a nap. Which is what they are telling you. Crying. At the top of their lungs. Yeah. Sure. You carry the little bugger to bed.
You were enjoying the soft sound of birds. Then, Cub proudly sauntered up, farted, and then died laughing. They think it's far funnier than you do. Cubs.
You attempt to teach Cub how to grab fish, but they get distracted just rolling in the water. Ah well. You join them and eventually you both come home with muddy paws.
You are lying in the dirt and Cub flops on you in greeting. You roll over and squish them a little, and they laugh.
Cub does not say a word but curls up close to your feet as you sit down near her, seeming to need some affection right now.
You come back to the den and find your favorite sleeping spot covered with flowers. Cub is sitting by, sparkles in her eyes, to see if you like it.
You are annoyed at that damn green snake. So demanding. Cub suggests that they could go boop their snoot. That sounds like a great idea, actually. Let's go boop the snoot.
