Astraea does not have a very noticeable presence. She is a rather small and quiet lioness and seems to blend into the shadows at times. She has a observant nature and often picks up details others are surprised that she has noticed. The smart lioness likes to learn new things. She is introverted and enjoys the quiet moments to herself. It is not easy to earn her trust as she is rather wary of strangers, but once she trusts someone she is very loyal towards them. That is why she knows she has to make it work being the next High Priestess. It is a great responsibility and she doubts she is cut out for it. She is however determined to give her best. Even though she seems weird, she is actually quite nice if you get to know her. Astraea has the second sight. She is able to communicate with ghosts and has precognitions. She usually wears a blindfold to hide the scars that blinded her. Due to this her raven companion Calamity is guiding her.
Astraea was not born in Storm’s Peak Pride. Her mother is a loner, who cared for her and her siblings alone. She has always been the odd one out. There was just something strange about her. Her littermates would often make fun of her for her small posture and her talking to seemingly nothing. Eventually she just played alone or with the ghosts she met when her mother was hunting. One day she wandered into the territory of another and was attacked by a lion from this pride. She barely managed to escape and her eyes were damaged beyond repair. Her mother decided to abandon her near the border of Storm’s Peak Pride. Calamity, her raven companion, led High Priestess Pandora Nightspark to her. It was just like she had seen in her vision, so she knew Astraea would be the next High Priestess. She waited to announce this until her wounds were mostly healed and she got acclimated with her new pride mates. Initially Astraea thought this was too great of a responsibility for her and she would never be able to do it. However she is at least going to try and give her best.
