Sapphic 𝔖𝔞𝔱𝔲𝔯𝔫

as is tradition in the pride of constellations, saturn was taken in from a neighbouring pride at a young age, trained and raised by the now previous queen, alchiba, and her closest friends and lovers, zosma and imai. from a young age, saturn showed a keen level of skill and intellect, their maternal figure, imai, recalls with affection, their proud face when they would return from patrols with their training companion, lerna, and rush to tell her of the things they had seen, and more importantly, what those things meant for the pride.

saturn was always popular among their peers, empathetic and charismatic, they had accumulated a following among the others in the pride, and soon alchiba was proud to announce the young lion had put in the work to earn their place at the top, and in turn, announced her own retirement.

changes within the pride were clear as saturn became queen, a heavier lean toward hedonism, and less emphasis on the quest to liberate others that alchiba had strove for. none had complaints, after many years of hard work liberating their peers from human breeding rings, the elder lionesses of the pride felt it only fair they were able to spend time relaxing and at ease. alchiba, although uneasy at first, eventually warmed up to saturn's lackadaisical approach, as long as the pride was kept happy and well fed.
