From the union of a tsavo stud, Faustus is incredibly swift and keeps his balance incredibly well. He was a confident cub, the only thing that shook Faustus was his mother's disapproval of his choice regarding studding.
He felt nothing for his older sister, and disliked his father whom he's never met. He feels studding is wrong, and therefore has sworn an oath to avoid any kind of romance.
He quite hungrily searches for knowledge, like his mother and foster father, Kami.
He has waited for years, and watched carefully. For now, it seems that King Frosted Barrage has no heir. He is confident he could take the king...

Given Homunculus's high standing with King Kami, she was allowed to mate with more prestigious studs that normally no one but royalty had access. His sister grew to an adult in a night, to everyone's confusion, but such things are not uncommon in the Burning Void.
Born in a flood, and practically an only child, Faustus tried tirelessly and was hard working to make his mother proud. He spent much of his time as a youth pestering huntresses and scouts about what they'd seen, and found that opinions are subjective off their varying responses, which made it easier to shrug off his mother's disapproval. Easier, but not impossible.
:One Year:
As he aged, he uncovered secrets. Stories about the religious Tatakae mauling his own Queen (which does not help his views on romance, especially since his Queen justified his attack), the prophecy that a tsavo will take the King's place unfairly, a rival spy slipping Queen Jager lion meat before Nanaba's birth, King Kibben being abandoned by his mother (again, not helping), Tatakae repeatedly gave Jager GMA cow's which are known to harm cubs, Kale stealing food when he was younger, and worst of all, the nameless tsavo that watches him and the other cubs constantly may be a murderer.
The main reason he knew all this truly was because of the flood he spent his younger days kept him, the Pride, and strangers all scrunched up on high ground, as well as grateful saved prey. Because of this, Faustus was quite morally confused. He found it hard to eat zebra after talking to so many, hard to sleep with the tsavo's interest in him, hard to please his mother with his views on romance, And hard to listen to stories of past kings and wonder if the stories are true. But despite this, Faustus has a hard headed spirit, and he refuses to back down from knowledge because it's hard to deal with. He shows great strength at such a young age with this outlook.
:Three Years, Five Months:
Frosted Barrage bought Faustus and set him to be the protector of the lands. He became the main patroller of the territory. The king agreed to allow Faustus to continue his studies and further his knowledge of secrets.
:Five Years, Seven Months:
Rumors of Faustus boasting he could beat the king in a fight began to circulate through the pride.
:Nine Years, Two Months:
Faustus struts up to you and you greet each other as equals. You later puff up a bit at his nerve.
:Nine Years, Nine Months:
You see Faustus puff up and strut in front of the lionesses, confident of his dashing looks. You feel slightly annoyed.
:Eleven Years, Eleven Months:
Faustus was put on a mission by King Frosted Barrage. Search the trading fields for any adolescent or cub under a certain price. He knew this was due to a quest that his king accepted from the star-lion; however he was a dutiful subordinate and did as his king asked. Many a youngling he bought only for them to be taken for 'audience' in front of the king and there, put to death. One among the lot was a certain Kindling (794112208103). He did not look at their markings or coats, only the number of beetles that the seller asked for them, so he had no idea she was marked with a rare marking that caused her to be worth far more than the meager silvers he paid in exchange for her.
Faustus left Kindling in Auntie Starlit Rose's care. "You will have audience with King Frosted Barrage. Wait here." He said and he went away.
Kindling nodded her acknowledgement. While she waited, the pale coated ladies of the Pride of Light admired the bright crimson hue and unusual markings of the adolescent.
In a surprise moment, the good King Zatu contacted King Frosted Barrage with a soft plea to return Kindling. "Fine neighbor, greetings. The price I set for this youngling was wrong, sire. Please, return our beloved Kindling that she may be sent away for what she is truly worth."
King Frosted Barrage agreed to this exchange. "It was only her low cost that interested me. I mean to use her for slaughter. It is fortunate I was occupied long enough her life was spared this day."
Kindling cringed at the thought of what might have befallen her save for King Frosted Barrage being 'occupied'. She inclined her head with gratitude and whispered: "Thank you sire for your hospitality."
So Kindling was spared. Faustus hoped she was destined to find a good home, and not one in the jaws of a power-hungry king.

Frosted Barrage stepped down from being the king. His eyesight had failed him, and his instincts and reflexes were simply not fast enough to make a good king. However, Heir Apparent was not ready to be the king, so Frosted Barrage chose Faustus to lead until the younger lion was ready to take over the Pride of Light.
When Faustus took over, he was de-aged by Shaman: Sacred Wilds to 8 years.
:Eight Years, Three Months:

Lil' Six Marks didn't realize you meant they were supposed to climb the ROCKS and instead scramble up onto your mane! They leave some scratches and blame you for not specifying. Ouch! Their training sadly failed. (You got a Scar: Anklebiter).

While exploring his territory, Faustus encountered a gorilla. You let out a fearsome roar, making the gorilla attack you! The fight is tough, and you both end up pretty bruised. [Scar: Beaten Up]
