17/03/23 In search of some fresh air and more space to myself...and more control if I may say, I started my journey across the savannah and stumbled upon a lioness going by the name of Eulalia. She sounds naive and incompetent but having food is better than none. Hopefully, my charm will last long enough on her to get or find more potent members...
18/03/23 I yawned as the sun rose and the smell of food tingled my nose. Eulalia had gone hunting. As I thought, a poor hunt, I wasn't expecting much more from a young stray lioness. At least she knows how to. He had encountered another lioness but she was a real thorn in his paw, he skillfully got rid of her on the first occasion, leaving her behind to herself. At least this one is easily manipulable and capable of bringing back something. He wants control and power. To do so he needs a pride. There are two ways to do so, take over one, or create one....and that starts with cubs. He knows his way around the ladies. A few compliments and the night is won. Inventing himself a tragic backstory to cover for his greed, Eulalia seemed to like him. With patience and skill, he convinced her to breed with him on impulse. He could smell her heat and knew his chances to get little soldiers were nie on done if he didn't hurry. Hopefully, his efforts will have been worth something in his quest for power.
On the prowl, he found a new lioness; Nakoa. He saw himself in her, looking for the same sort of strength (he couldn't be more wrong). He hoped for someone with the same ambitions at his side and immediately took her in. She has a strong character. Let's see what she can offer while Eulalia is gone to give birth very soon. He's hoping to get rid of Eulalia as soon as the cubs are of age.
The bonds between him and Naoka weren't the best yet but he was confident he could win her over with time. He wasn't really patient but he had no choice but to do so. Ozora won't accept this sort of distraction when he has enough strong lionesses at his service. He keeps patrolling his territory in search of more members and found what he's been looking for. He knew her smell in a sense but it was distant, by now, most old sents have washed out from the past he knew. Yet she made him think of his old pride, she looked fit and she was truly beautiful. She seemed odd, the same as he was to her. She might just be scared of him he thought. As the courting went on, they discussed their origins and that's when it struck him. She was from the pride his former own overtook. That bunch of weaklings and cowards who ran away from true strength. He lied as usual about his story but he could tell she trusted him. He knew he could threaten her eventually if she decides to turn her back on him with what he knew. The conflict wasn't his anymore but he could well use that information against her. With this in mind, no matter what, she'll always be at one of the lowest ranks. Cowards don't have their place here. She shall prove her strength or suffer a life of hunting at the service of her pride. And if she dares run again...she shall be made an example of. He softly invited her knowing he won a free puppet to play with.
19/03/23 Ayala isn't much to praise but she's putting the work in. He'll have a word with her when they're alone. Coming back foodless isn't a choice around here. Nakoa never failed a hunt before she arrived. He has high fate for their union. She'll make a fine queen although she does seem to agree. He could always find another option and keep Nakoa as a producer as he likes to call it. As soon as possible he'll make this pride what it's supposed to be. A land of survivors and conquerors. The weak fed last and killed at the first complaint. His old pride saw him as weak...he had to run. He growled at himself angry at the thought of cowardice. Never again will someone think of him as incapable.
24/03/23 Eulalia finally came back to the pride with her young cubs. She brought back 3 mouths to feed with her. Another lioness expecting me to just accept her!? Her cubs are aging. One seems much bigger than the other. A strong one for sure but it doesn't smell like it's hers. The tiny cub shall be tested soon enough and dealt with if necessary.
Oona, on the other hand, is weak. She's average and doesn't take orders well. Hopefully, he'll be able to forge Eulalia's cubs in much better little soldiers. As soon as everyone got back to their temporary campsite, he announced a meeting. In the following, he stated the rules to be set in place from now forth:
1- Any 5-month-old cubs are to be trained by me to pass as fully working lions with the right set of skills
2- Any lioness refusing to perpetuate the cycle of new life into our pride, will be kept by my side and discarded once her cubs are weaned. It's everyone's responsibility to keep this group growing and fit.
3- A lioness rebelling herself to the point of physical aggression during pregnancy or not will be discarded.
4- My decisions are undisputed and will stay as such. Anyone challenging me will be punished for insubordination.
5- From now on, our group will be divided into 5 classes to help each one of you recognize your roles better: The Queen(+King), The Pearls, The Defense, The Hunters, and The Feeble.
The Queen is the fittest of the fittest lionesses, she stands by me, herself the image representing our pride. Her offspring are considered normal Paws until they own their role. It's easy to go down in rank and hard to get back up. Royalty offspring can become the next queen but it doesn't give them higher chances of becoming so. The queen is finesse, strength, and power. Perfection. She gets food second getting the best pick along with me. She helps me impose our ways and puts order in the pride. The pearls take care of her cubs more than her as she has lots of responsibilities and standards to upkeep that she cannot do with kids to raise.
The Pearls are the best lionesses for our future generations. They will carry and raise the cubs to come and get third pick on food at the same time as The Defense. Depending on their specialties, some direct groups of hunters, and others direct the nursery.
The Defense are the few fit males that patrol our territory and defend us. They eat with the Pearls as they need all their strength to protect us. If they fail at their job they will be replaced by better males and fall to Feeble.
The Hunters bring what makes us live, food. Within the group, the best hunters eat first and the less successful huntress eat last. If their failure becomes a burden they will fall down to Feeble.
The Feeble get what's left of food if there's some that day. They take care of the chores around camp and serve their pride mates without question. Being unable to be useful brought them to this level. The sick, the weak, and the old reside here. If even those feeble tasks are too much to handle, they will be killed and made an example of.
Everyone's position will be announced in the next few days to come. Get back to work. Eulalia, you stay here, I have to discuss important matters with you.
He could see the fear in her eyes but she stepped up and they left to a more private space: So Eulalia, you got a litter of 2, present them to me. The lioness called her new additions over. This is Dilara and Rea she meowed proudly straightening her back and urging her kits to do so. Themselves. Dilara stumbled on her feet but finally sat down next to her sister. He narrowed his eyes and closely examined the two of them. He soften his gaze and welcomed them advising them to train well and make their pride mates proud. He dismissed the cubs to go back to their occupation turning his attention back to Eulalia: Rea isn't mine. He glared at her. Eulalia shrunk, tail tucked under her: is she? He inquired. His gaze didn't waver locked in hers. He growled. Answer me! He puffed his fur. She isn't Eulalia breathed. He pinned her down spatting: HOW DARE YOU. You bring helpless cubs and an extra mouth to feed like everything was a frickin fairytale! I have a duty and you had ONE. Your cub is the weakest piece of lion I've ever seen! I'm sure you won't mind that outsider cub replacing yours. She clearly fought to survive unlike you. And Oona...make her behave or else she'll get out as will your kid. Eulalia quickly nod in agreement. You're dismissed, he snarled.
Now that this is delt with it's time to think about recruiting a few more members.
28/03/23 I recruited 2 new lioness, 2 beauties if I may say so. We'll see how they do but so far Milka and Ahiry are one of the bests along side Nakoa. It's now time to set positions and hierarchy in this pride. Dilara is as disappointing as day one. Her and her mom shall be put to the test. If they prove themselves to be weak, equal consequence will ensue.
plan making:
space: Mount wise, I'll make one for each species I breed...yes I'll need a lot of space. idk what the max is but if there's one I'll rethink this. Den wise, I'm hoping to make a few different sections for different projects. I'm thinking about make a queen den for THE ONE female and then a hunter s den, a Paw den (adol), Flurty dens where i put the lions i m trying to breed.
lions: Make my story without outside traits. Evolving from what I have and gaining new traits out of nothing is my goal. Patience is key. I'm not long to breed anything fantastic for now. My eventual goal would be to make a pretty build for each base. For now, just story. The goal will change as leader change depending on their ambitions and character.
Beetles: beetle business on event beetle and such. breed rare ones and sell them as well as build them for combat. My way of making a profit here.
