Blessed 𝘕𝘪𝘮𝘣𝘶𝘴✰

Nimbus was born to a pride full of lions. His father was an aggressive ruler, one that took control and kept it. When Nimbus was born it was obvious that he greatly resembled his father. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was to be the next king. So from the moment he could understand his father and run around his training began.
It started with learning the territory, there was a test over that. Then it was getting to know each individual lion within his lands, there was another test over that. Then came the fighting. He was a mere eight months when he began his sparing. This is when things started to go down hill. He was progressing well, and by the time he was a year old he was a formidable opponent for other juveniles. But when his father took Nimbus with him to take control of yet another territory, the pride fought back, and they nearly won, but his father wasn't one to lose. So instead of trying to convert them into his pride he slaughtered them. Seeing this struck fear within Nimbus, and the young male fled the scene. ran until he knew he was beyond the borders, he ran until he could no longer due so.
Without realizing it he stumbled into another territory. This time when he came face to face with a new pride he begged them for asylum. For a while the youngster had to remain on the outskirts, only joining in the broiling sun. But eventually, the king agreed to letting the juvenile join. He was watched closely and the king could see that he had good attributes. He knew everyone in the pride within a short amount of time, and knew the territory before some of the pride-born males did.
When Nimbus was asked to be the heir to the throne he refused, remembering the horrible deeds his father had done. After he spoke with his king about why, he was assured that nothing of the sort would ever be required from him. And so he became the heir, and a very popular lion among the pride.
