DESCRIPTION -
On the outside, Othello is a bold, flirtatious, and chivalrous lion that was raised by hyenas for half of his life. Following Brink's forced retirement, he was crowned king and entrusted with the responsibility of the pride. Internally, though, Othello suffers from a great deal of anxiety and consistent nightmares. When he first arrived, he wasn't the best at being a lion. He fought savagely and hunted without patience. The other sub males, specifically Orion and Vulture, quickly sorted him out by the time he turned two. As he grew older, he quickly realized that the masculine presentation of his body felt off. Using a lab test frog and some experimental mane-growth serums, *they finally found peace in the way they looked.*

TIMELINE :
4 MONTHS - Othello was found cold and alone on the edge of a watering hole by a very small clan of spotted hyenas. The clan is known as the Bared-Fangs Clan. The queen of the ten or so members, Skol, had "mercy" on the little one despite her starving subjects' pleas to turn him in to a pile of bones on their den floor. Skol proposed a more strategic decision, though. She suggested they raise the cub to be their protection, hunter, and final food source. With the rest of her clan being desperate and hungry, they let out cackles and whines of approval.

1 YEAR OLD - Now trained as a seasoned hunter and protector of his home, Othello frequently trots around the boarder that encases his growing family. Currently at a decent thirty members, the Bared-Fangs Clan is thriving with their little king to depend on. He hunts, patrols, and plays enthusiastically with his "pride". Skol, unfortunately, had grown very fond of the cub and announced that he would no longer be obligated to sacrifice himself to the clan upon reaching adulthood. All of the clan agreed, but one. Skol's younger sister, Sif, was not happy about her sister's decision. She thought the change of plan was unnecessary and started plotting her sister's demise.
______________
1 YEAR AND 5 MONTHS - Sif eventually decided to privately take Skol's life via suffocation on a particularly dark and foggy night. Othello was crushed by the discovery of his mother figure's death. He found himself in an intense depression, unwilling to perform his duties while mourning the former leader. The spotted hyena clan quickly fell apart without he and Skol's guidence. Their numbers plummeted once more and they began to starve. Sif ended up being appointed as the queen, and declared they would begin a migration to find more prey and bring back the previous plan that included sacrificing Othello. The hungry hyenas agreed that he would be killed early, as he was already big enough to feed the scrawny clan a few times over. His time would run out once he turned 1 year and 10 months old.

1 YEAR AND 9 MONTHS - The Bared-Fangs Clan was forced to relocate further in to enemy lion territory. Though the danger was great, they were stuck between starving or risking it all for more plentiful prey. With only a month left to live, the still grieving adolescent decided he'd take a much needed trot around the territory to assess the true danger the spotted hyenas were facing. Almost immediately, an older, mighty king with a quite boring physique stomped across the desert. Fearfully, Othello fled to the clan and their tight circlet of snarling, snapping jaws. Pups stayed in the center of the circlet, while the few adults and Othello remained facing the king named Brink. Brink was baffled by the presence of a young male lion travelling with hyenas, so he demanded an explanation. Othello gave him an honest one, explaining nearly everything about his life and his upcoming death. Brink was horrified. He ordered Sif to hand over the adolescent. At first, she howled her disapproval and lunged for Brink's throat with a scream of fury. After snatching her leg between his jaws and breaking it with a loud, sickening crack, Sif tucked her tail and limped away, barking at her clan to retreat. Othello was left speechless with the snorting king by his side and watched what remained of his only family scatter into the distance with cries of fear and frustration.
