Akili's Lore (WIP): Akili, he was born to a well off, violent king, who groomed him to be as violent or worse. He didn't know his mother, as his father kept them separate, this didn't bother him though he enjoyed his fathers teachings. As Akili grew, trained, become more selfish and violent he decided he would go off and find a pride of his own. That's when he stumbled upon a small, humble pride. Their king was naive, and blinded by good faith, he let young Akili in. That was one of many mistakes the past king, Nuru, did. As Akili got accustomed to the pride, he began to brew an evil plan to over throw the king. It took him a few years to let the plan unfold, slowly turning each lioness against Nuru. He promised a fruitful, rich future to them and they believed him. He was extremely meticulous, and strategic about his plan. His fathers teachings proving to be useful with each step, as Nuru grew older and frail. Akili knew it was a perfect time to strike, he was much bigger and stronger then Nuru. As Akili approached the king, walking with pride and confidence, he struck him with a fatal blow. Nuru of course, naive as he is, tried to fight back. After a short bloody battle, Akili threw Nuru's deceased body in front of his new pride. Claiming ownership over them, naming the pride the Dead Lands. As time passed, Akili kept growing his pride, claiming more and more territory for it. Killing any threat he stumbled upon, even killing pride members who showed challenged his word. Most lions he stumbled upon were frightened of him, he had a murderous aura around him at all times. Though despite this, he does take fairly good care of his pride. He makes sure they're fed, and have a safe area to raise his offspring in. While some hated his vicious ways, most enjoyed it and followed his footsteps. The culture that brewed within the pride was strong, he had an oracle that spoke of prophecies by the goddess they worshipped.
