* Selecting an item to send with the request will remove the item from your hoard and apply it to the stud if your request is accepted. If your request is removed or denied for any reason the item will be returned to you. Multiple items can be sent at the same time providing they do not cancel each other out in their effects.

* Breeding to a mutated stud does not affect your chances of conceiving a mutated cub unless the stud is a variation of piebald or primal.

Historic Biography:

John J. Pershing was born in September of 1860 in Missouri. Pershing is most known for serving as the commander of the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) in the First World War. Pershing was born amid the American Civil War and was deeply affected by its wake. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Pershing was not inspired to military service by the war taking little interest in military affairs. The panic of 1873 brought financial difficulties upon the family forcing John's father to leave the family to become a traveling salesman. John was left to tend the farm. Pershing would start his life as a school teacher for local African American students at the single-room schoolhouse: Prairie Mound School. He left his job after saving up enough money to attend college at North Missouri Normal School ( a commercial college and a teacher education college) called such as it was the first institute of higher education in the state. He graduated with a BS in dialectic Science. Upon graduation, Pershing was invited to take the West Point Military Academy entrance exam where he became enrolled at the academy and would rise to be class president and would lead the color guard at the funeral of famous Alumni, Ulysses S. Grant. Pershing's first deployment was with the 6th Cavilry to patrol the frontier fighting the Sioux and Apache tribes, a morally poor start to a career. His first command would be awarded during the war with Spain in Cuba where he led the all-African American 10th Cavalry. Pershing then served in the Philippines from 1899 to 1903 (taken by the U.S. as a result of the Spanish-American War) in fighting the Philippine insurrection where he earned the moniker "Black Jack." His service in the Philippines and in Cuba brought his name to the ear of then-president Theodore Roosevelt who placed him in control of overseeing the negotiations of the Russo-Japanese war (Roosevelt would gain the Nobel Peace Prize for his use of U.S. naval superiority in "the great white fleet" to pad peace talks between Russia and Japan). After his return from Tokoyo, Pershing moved with his wife Hellen F. Warren. He was promoted then to brigadier general of the United States Army by the recommendation of President Roosevelt and was redeployed for a second tour of the Philippines in 1913. in 1915, Pershing would be forever changed when news reached him on a base in Texas that his wife and three of his 4 children had perished in a house fire in their California home. Pershing never truly recovered from the disaster and became a distant man. He would be assigned in 1916 (under orders from then-president, Woodrow Wilson in violation of international law) to fight in the Mexican border skirmishes in Columbus, NM against the infamous Poncho Villa. Pershing would chase Villa into Mexico but never capture him. In 1917, the U.S. entered the First World War with Pershing at the helm. He turned a meager force of 130,000 men into a well-equipped army of 2 million strong in just 2 months. Upon arriving in Europe, allied forces, predominately the French (U.S. volunteers had been amongst the ranks of French units before 1917) AEF forces were to be under the command of Supreme Allied commander Ferdinand Foch (French) and supplement existing offensives. Pershing Pushed for an American-lead AEF due to tactical and training differences. He would get his wish and in 1918 would win the Battle of St. Mihiel and the Battle of Cantigny. He would also lead US forces in the Muese-Argonne offensive which aided in breaking German resistance and bringing the world closer to Armstace. Though Pershing and the U.S. were not in the war for the duration, they provided relief to a beleaguered front line helping to end the war in 1918. I hope you learned something new! It took a good while to type this up!
