My karma is... -675! (updated 6/5/15) -- -The Artist They call him "The Artist". He rules his pride in a harsh manner, with strict rules. No one dares to break them for fear of punishment, which usually results in exile or death. He sets high standards for those in his pride, which all adults must meet, no exceptions. However, he is also known for his compassion towards cubs. He will never turn an orphaned cub away. He will raise them as one of his own, and teach them his rules. If they adapt and meet the requirements when they reach adulthood, they are welcome to stay. When he was just a young cub, his mother's pride was brutally hunted and killed by hunters. He managed to escape. However, when he was running, he tripped over one of the humans wire traps, and now he forever bears the scars from that horrible night. His uncle took him in and raised him in his pride. When he was old enough, he left to begin his own pride and came across the perfect home, an Okavango Swamp. One small issue; this spot was already taken by a small pack of hyenas. This was not a problem for The Artist. He gave them one chance to leave. They put up a fight, one that resulted in his left eye being scarred white from an aggressive swipe. He killed anyone remaining on his territory until he was the only one left. Slowly but surely lionesses and cubs began wandering into his territory. Many were rejected by him, while a few managed to meet his standards and stayed. He may not admit this to many, but there are a few lionesses who have captured a piece of his heart.
