Koenhart can almost always be found with his trusty sidekick, Kuri, the albino raven. They are an odd pair,
but friends nonetheless. However, the raven is much more than a friendly bird to the pride. She flies high above the tree tops, scouting for prey, enemy lions, humans, and even lost or abandoned lionesses and cubs.
Koenhart is a kind and gentle King towards his pride, but you don't want to be the one to cross him and feel the wrath of this ancestral strength.
It's not always easy being born into the B O S S family, there are standards, you know. One must be up to par with grandfather's expectations, otherwise you won't make the cut. Koenhart never had problems with any of that. He is a physical specimen of the B O S S lineage. What's not to like with his rare base coat, snazzy feline markings with a splash of white vitiligo, herculean like strength, and of course his floppy ears. Who doesn't love floppy ears?!
All of the ladies flock to him like bees to honey on a warm summer's day. (Seriously, this mancat's a pimp.)
The floppy eared King spotted a group of adolescents playing with a hornbill skull.
"Hush! Look! Here he comes! Act cool" one of the girls whispers to the others. They all straighten up and watch starry-eyed as Koenhart approaches.
"Toss it over here," he says. He bounces the skull off his paws the way humans play with the rubber balls and hits it through the trees. "Goaaaaaaaaal!" he roars, and the adolescents all holler and cheer for him. He struts his stuff around the others, shaking his mane as he goes. "Who wants to join me on patrol today?" he asks.
They all look at each other.
"I do!"
"Pick me!"
"No way, you went out the other day!"
Koen lets a small smile show. He walks over to the one who tossed him the skull and nudges her, "Let's go!" And with that he bounds off over a fallen tree and into the forest.
