Pride Hierarchy:

- Thorned King -
By default, the Thorned King is the oldest and largest male of the lions, and is named after common large trees found in the jungle. They can, however, be challenged by other lions (male or female), and the challenger will be submitted to a game of wits and a battle of strength. If they manage to win both challenges, the old king steps down, and the challenger is the new King, and their name is changed accordingly. They are called "King" regardless of gender.

- Orchids -
The Orchids are the most beautiful lionesses in the pride, and are often chosen by the King to bear cubs. Orchids are often trophy lionesses, and if meeting with another pride, will often stay by the King's side to show off their markings and colors. Some older lionesses are not as beautiful as the other younger lionesses, but are kept as Orchids by the King out of respect and loyalty. Orchids are named after different colors and species, although species are usually kept within a family, unless a mother decides to give her cubs a different species name.

- Bromeliads -
The lionesses that are swift and smart are often Bromeliads, huntresses that are out of the pride almost all day, providing. They are very greatly valued by all of the pride, and often earn favors with the King if they manage to bring back their favorite prey. Bromeliads are named after the plants that are characterized by a colorful flower in the middle, but are mainly made up of long, thin, sturdy leaves. Orchids can also be Bromeliads, and are classified by the bromeliad name added onto the end of their Orchid status.

- Astrocaryum -
These lions are males that patrol the territory, looking for intruders and occasionally bringing back prey that they might have found along the way. Astrocaryum guard the pride from any dangers, and sometimes help the king in fights against multiple other lions. They are named after spiny palms with leaves that have a feather-like or fern-like pattern, and flower repeatedly over their lifetime.

- Bougainvillea -
These lionesses (and occasionally weaker submales) look after the cubs all day, and begin to train them when they reach 5 moons old. There are usually only 2-3 in a clan, though sometimes more if there's been a recent large growth in the pride. If there is a submale Bougainvillea, he will usually train the most promising cubs. Because these lions and lionesses are usually very fragile, they are often looked down upon by the clan, even though they play an important role. These pride members are named after thorny ornamental vines, bushes, and trees with spring-like leaves near its flowers that is known as Bougainvillea.
