Royal Lineage

King Enzokuhle the Liar was the first king of the Sun Chasers, known as a cruel leader who often allowed his pride to die. Rumors often went around talking about the death of his first few cubs, many saying he allowed it and others saying he never knew or did anything. He was eventually overthrown by his youngest and only living son, Tuwile.

King Tuwile the Mercilful led his pride down a nicer path than his own father had. A very forgiving and caring lion, he took his pride out of the marsh they once lived in and into a lush rainforest where there would be better hunting and enough food for the entire pride. He is known and remembered for his love for his queen, Hearth, along with his constant gentleness towards his many children.

Queen Orchid, youngest of Tuwile's children, was chosen as heir not long after she was born. It is unknown why she lead her pride to live in the desert, and her decision to ally with wild dogs has been heavily questioned, but she is known to be just as kind as her father before her.

Traditions

| The Stars & Respect |
A once fully nomadic pride, they still hold to their old traditions even if their name does not change.

This comes them through the belief of following stars, the north star specifically representing their kings. If the previous ruler had been respected, they'd follow and make their home in a more open, starlit area. But, if the previous ruler was deemed horrible and was not respected, they'd do the opposite and instead go away, hiding from the stars as their own sign of disrespect.

Though not in every or all cases, it is common that male cubs will leave the pride when they reach adolescence. Sometimes, they return, either to become Lords or to even challenge their parent for the throne.

Due to the former, it is common for kings to kill or abandon some of theirs cubs at the Giving Tree out of fear they'd one day kill once they'd reach adulthood. Some even going as far as to make laws, telling the pride that his exiled children, or any of their cubs, should be killed on sight unless the king themself have become to old to lead the pride.

| Heirs |
Very few heirs are chosen from the rules main partner, instead they are picked from all of their many children. This can be for many reasons. The co-ruler having no cubs with the ruler, the ruler decided to pick from his strongest instead of his most loved, and the list goes on.

One thing stays true though: The heir must be the wises of the ruler's cubs. They must know the endlessness of the territory without even needing to see. They must know when is a good time to leave, where a good new place to keep their pride is. When and where to follow the migration of prey in order to feed their pride.
