Den Description: | The field did not seem quite as long when you'd been on the other side, but now that you've started the trek across, it seems to stretch on forever... The heavy fog sits over the ground like a prowling army, ready to strike the moment you take your eyes off of it... Just as you consider turning back, a voice calls for you at the forest edge, nearly fifty yards away, "I wouldn't recommend leaving now. Your presence is known, and the wood invites you in." The stranger watches you as if they can read your intent, all while hiding their own face behind a carved mask. It leaves you unsettled, but what choice did you have now? Turning back would meet you with the trouble of finding shelter and this lion did not seem to be asking, anyways... With slow, cautious steps, you approach the mysterious feline, and stop just outside their reach. They grin hauntingly up at you around the mask, chuckling as if they'd expected this outcome, "Good choice. Welcome to the Forest." |
