tlk/tlg theory:

so in tlk lore (and confirmed in tlg) scar/taka was leader of the guard while mufasa was king. but we only saw tlg in kion/kiara's generation instead of when simba was a cub. my theory is the guard only exists when twin royals are born. the eldest will rule while the younger leads the guard!
