Pride Lore

As you approach the ocean the air turns heavy, thick with salt from the briny sea. The calls of seagulls and crashing waves fill your ears, but the gentle tone of the ocean wasn't all that filled the air. Lion scents laced the jagged stones and soaked sand. Moving forward, the pride came into sight. It was small, disorganized, and it reeked with the freshness of a newly formed pride; The lionesses didn't have that same closeness as most other well-established prides.
You catch the eye of the lead male who was absentmindedly grooming his paw. He looked at you blankly yet a faint snarl was laced on his jaw. He didn't look happy to see you, but perhaps he believes his pride to be too fragile to start a fight with another male. Tentatively, he watches you.
Before you stand three paths, the first leading to a shoreline. Most of the lionesses seem to be hanging out there. The other led to a bayside while the last led to the cliffs above. They looked rather empty, but they were still heavy the the pride's scent. As you move to walk, the lead male's gaze follows you. Whichever path you decide to take, you best do it with care.
