𝕆𝕡𝕙𝕚𝕦𝕔𝕙𝕦𝕤's Den

The oasis of the desert tips and turns, an illusion as fake as the stars above it. Clear water pools over the sides of the dip, creating a tantalising image of fresh, untainted water. Something hard to find these days. You, of all lions, would know this. Drawing closer, the stars and their beloved constellations dance above you, forming a clearer image. Lions prance, with stardust at their command, their tails creating ripples throughout the night sky. Walking towards the water, a lion blocks the way with a steely glare.
"What is your business here?" She asks warily, water pooling around her feet, her hackles raised.
You state your intent, being that you are thirsty, voyaging back to your own pride, and her hackles go down slightly. She still seems wary.
“It’s best you come with me. You’re lucky it was I that found you, and not one of the other lionesses. I am Jupiter. You will see that our names all correlate with the sky above us. The stars are connected to us, and us to them.” With that, she swings a paw at you with no warning, knocking you to the ground- very much unconscious.
Waking up, you find that you are in a different area. That is not the only thing that has changed from what you had previously seen. You find that stardust is clinging to you, shimmering in the moonlight. It seems as if you have become one with the stars, similar to the other lions of this mysterious pride. They begin to crowd around you, the light almost blinding. They stare at you, curious about why you seem to have fewer stars, if any.
"So, Jupiter stumbled upon you." A large lioness rumbles, walking up to you, her blue pelt shimmering in the moonlight. A younger lioness walks beside her, keeping up easily with huge paws. Looking at you with heavy, tired eyes, she begins to talk.
"I am Ophiuchus, queen of this pride. The lioness next to me is Venus, my advisor. I understand you found the moonpool, our way into the pride. You cannot tell anyone of our existence. The greed of other prides is unmistakable. They may try to take the stars. Without them, our lifeblood, our pride would be no more.” The leading lioness looks at you with worried eyes, disguising a glint of something... you shake your head, trying not to think about that.
"I'll have to ask you to leave now. My elders are getting anxious, the cubs are rowdy. Not a good mix. It... It's been difficult since Fierce'mane and Solaria both left us... Anyway, I'll get Eridanus to escort you out. Thank you for visiting. But, if I do find out that you've told anyone about our pride, I will not hesitate to hunt you down. The consequences will be dire, trust me."
With that, the lioness called Eridanus roughly grabbed your scruff and pulled you upwards.
"Hurry up, we have to go before the sun comes back up."
You both hurry towards another pool of water, stepping into it. Suddenly, you're back on the savannah. Best be on your way.
