When the sun goes down and the fireflies come out, a strange, and almost nightmarish lion makes their appearance. Strutting through the night, they constantly and carefully survey the valley in which they reside. Their strides are effortless and their movements fluid, such grace could only been seen in animals such as gazelles, elks and springbok... One mere blink and the shadowy figure is gone, out of sight.

Or at least that's what they want you to think.

This peculiar lion doesn't care for social interaction, or the hustle and bustle of running a pride. He'd much prefer to watch over the prides of the valley, protecting them from imminent danger and secretly dropping off gifts of carcasses or other useful items while everyone is in deep sleep. Little do the prides of the valley know, Malachite is what is keeping them safe.

Many, Many years ago. The valley was under threat by a AWD and hyena war. Due to the lack of available hunting ground on the plains, most dog species moved north, Scavenging anything they could find and tearing the land of its natural recourses such as bark for bribes to keep the lions off their back. But it didn't last for very long, soon enough the gorges were riddled with bones and most of the game had traveled again, moving to the west. This caused many of the limited prides in the area to go hungry. Eventually, one fierce leader decided to put an end to it. Kill the dogs, replenish the valley, and gain all the respect. Their name was Balor the Prideful.
