Taogi grew up as the spoiled little prince of Tālvi. Unfortunately for him, what his mother deemed "ruling promise" was late to show, leaving Taogi as more of a concern than an asset to the future of the pride. Finally having enough, Taogi sought the guidance of a young, yet powerful mage named Onyo.

Onyo shared the stories of each great monarch she had fostered, ensuring that Taogi could become one of them in exchange for his companionship. Taogi agreed to the mage's terms, inviting her back to his pride and inheriting a divine advantage of his own.

The blessing, though weak on its own, satiated something darker within Taogi. With little time, Taogi snatched his title as king, and began the merciless reign over his family pride, fuelled with a chilling glow to complement his cold demeanour.
