STRIKINGPRIDE LORE

"This pride will forever be known as StrikingPride!" StrikingFlame roared, as the lionesses around him subtly, and submissively, ducked their heads in fear. A tower of bones in the centre of the clearing in which StrikingFlame stood upon, gazing down at his pride with a malicious smile.

StrikingPride was named after the first king, StrikingFlame - a cruel large lion with pure white eyes and large fangs.
The naming system is inspired by both Warrior Cats and The BraveLands books, both by Erin Hunter.
Instead of a 'star' prefix, all pride leaders have an 'ing' name.

StrikingPride formed when StrikingFlame, as a young male, took over LeapPride and forced the lionesses into submission with his youngest son, LeopardCloud, who was born to SunCloud of another pride.
Unlike usual tradition, StrikingFlame made it so he was the first to be fed above all of his pride, the eating order being:

Elderly Lionesses
Lionesses
Cubs

Males
Submales who are not destined to be king have their eyes torn out by ravens in a ritual-like manner.

Hunting Parties
There are two hunting parties, one being 'The Chief Lionesses' for extremely skilled and high levelled lions, and 'The Brave Patrol' which is for younger lionesses who need to train with adolescents.
Solo hunting lionesses do not fit in any party.

MONARCHS

The original king was SingingRock of LeapPride, who was slain by StrikingFlame. His soul is said to run The Travel Shack.

The first king was StrikingFlame who formed StrikingPride, a vicious killer who was said to be constantly covered in the blood of his enemies. StrikingFlame was slaughtered on his 15th birthday by AxeShine, GoldenBushbuck and IckleTail, all of whom were later found out and exiled.

TiringSun was the second king - unlike the king prior to him, he was monogamous to one lioness, who was known as HorseFever - she was his queen. TiringSun was a kind, warm-hearted king who took in any cub in need, and he gained the reputation for his kindness. He retired early at ten years old, and spent the rest of his days lounging around with his wife, HorseFever.

JammingPaws was the third king. He was a wild party animal who, despite how many lionesses he slept with, was more akin to homosexual tendencies, and liked spending his time with other males his age. He struggled picking right from wrong which made him a weak leader, and would often eat too much, leaving him and his pride in famine.
