Pride Lore

This pride was ruled for many years by a lioness by the name of Dame Iris. Her rule was not intended to last as long as it did, yet by some divine miracle she was kept alive long past her time. She witnessed her lionesses and their cubs grow, age and ultimately pass on countless times before her. Time was a cruel mistress, letting her love and connect only to have it fade away time and time again. Eventually she took Nne into her pride, and by then she knew her time as ruler was finally drawing to a close. With the future of her pride secure in the hands of the younger lioness, Dame Iris finally allowed herself to give up this mortal coil and live among the stars. Queen Nne has proved a good and honourable ruler, and the pride thrives under her steady paw.
